Well if you have a Shoryuken account, there is a large poll over in the UMvC board to vote on DLC characters. Right now Brood Ryu and Nina are at 11 and 13. I voted them both up.What are you talking about?, I wanna see Brood Ryu in NvC.

http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=158039&sid=722337e305c475618a198e89445cbdc7NG: You’re developing a new version of Smash Bros. for Wii U. How do you intend to take advantage of the console’s unique controller?
MS: I will think about this once Kid Icarus is complete. But as it is a game of a competitive nature, I do not think that any one person should have an advantage.
NG: Smash Bros. Brawl was a complete experience. What can any sequel offer in addition to that game?
MS: There are many things that can be improved upon even in Brawl. Also, I think you can base your expectations of the new Smash Bros. once you see how well-made Kid Icarus is. The director of each game is the same, but because I regularly change my team around after projects, we will be able to see how good the team is then.
NG: There can’t be many high-profile Nintendo characters left to add to Smash Bros. Who’s left that you’d like to include?
MS: That is completely undecided, but it is true that Nintendo has not created many new characters lately.
Cross over games don't do that well. None of the VS games, save MvC3 made over a million. MvC barley did it.On the subject of the whole sales talk. As I've said hundreds of times, there are several factors involved. The biggest factor without a doubt is that the roster is full of Nintendo (and then some) characters which also happen to be some of the biggest icons in the gaming industry. Characters like Ryu, Jin, or Sol Badguy don't have that kind of iconic status about them like the Nintendo characters.
Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy 7-10 and 12, Metal Gear Solid, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft. You name it, there have been third party games that have sold better than Nintendo one, Street Fighter 2 did better than the first game in 1993 or so.A game selling as much as Melee or Brawl is rare, especially if it's a third party game. Most developers would sell their souls to have that many sales. To expect other games to do that, even by adopting the mechanics of successful games, is foolish.
Oh God, don't make me laugh. Your counter argument is potential. Potential has to be realized first. Still doesn't change the fact: Are you looking at other fighting game players to get better or are they look at you?And one more thing. A master CAN learn from a beginner. That beginner could stumble onto something the master was not aware of and could change everything. Then, in fighting games in particular, the beginner can have an unprecedented playstyle full of potential.
We could, but they'd have to put me in jail for child abuseKuma vs. SmashChu!!
GOGOGO!!!!

It's one thing for me to not have a strong argument, it's another for you to completely ignore everything anyone ever tells you when you're wrong. The reason I "Never changed," was because Kuma never had a strong argument. Like I said, it was emotional driven. basically, the conclusion came first.
Why pull out SF2 as an example? At the time it came out, SF2 was like no other game.Cross over games don't do that well. None of the VS games, save MvC3 made over a million. MvC barley did it.
Street Fighter 2 MADE THE GENRE witht hose characters.
Of course there are third party games that have sold as much (if not more) as Nintendo games. I even acknowledged this. The thing you're ignoring is that I said is that it's rare to achieve those sales, and when you do have high selling games, they tend to be parts of a series of games. Those games you mentioned, sans WOW, are part of big name series, especially Final Fantasy and Call of Duty. Sure, we may have a big seller or two every year, but in the grand scheme of things, those games constitute a tiny, tiny portion of the software library.Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy 7-10 and 12, Metal Gear Solid, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft. You name it, there have been third party games that have sold better than Nintendo one, Street Fighter 2 did better than the first game in 1993 or so.
I thought it was painfully clear that the potential has to be realized. I could've written up a scenario for realized potential, and knowing you, you'd still be same old, same old.Oh God, don't make me laugh. Your counter argument is potential. Potential has to be realized first.
I only look at other players, of all skill levels, to create a base for my playstyle and catch holes in strategies I may not otherwise notice. I don't know if the top players have ever looked at me for a new idea or anything, but that's irrelevant. You take information in where ever you find it, period.Still doesn't change the fact: Are you looking at other fighting game players to get better or are they look at you?
That's awesome! Thanks for the replies Super Smash Bros. Fan and Psycho Incarnate!@Metal Overlord: His chances are very likely, considering he has relavence as well as popularity as well, seeing him as an Assist Trophy definetly gives him moveset potential, his chances are pretty much realistic in Brawl, though I would put my hopes up that high.
