Customizable music would be amazing indeed. Very much enjoyed such feature in GT5.Custommizable music is what i've always supported, I even came up with such an idea, they should definetly at least give us an option fir such a feature, it's not really hard to convert the files, plug-in and play, it's that simple!
Obvious. Then again, I'm not that type of person who expects the absolute worst for the character roster (Your expectation goes to show that more characters do not make a good roster, it's the character itself that makes the roster good, hence why I say that a 37 slot roster can still be good whereas if your expectation was merely fulfilled, I would be very unhappy with the final result).First mistake, you hoped.
Actually, that article is old and incorrect. Iwata himself along with Miyamoto stated that Nintendo is interested in DLC for its own games, but it would always be high-quality DLC such as new stages and whatnot to extend the life of its own games. They're not going to do "low-quality content" such as unlock keys and stat boosters, fearing that it would be detrimental to its relationship with Nintendo's customers.Well, there goes my hope for DLC.
@Starphoenix: So Star, what do you think of this? Do you see the possibility now!!??Actually, that article is old and incorrect. Smash Bros. DLC is more likely than not, my fellow Smashers!
I use the Classic Controller. Works for me.@nLiM: Yo, you don't use a gamecube controller? that is so weird, everybody I know cries about one if one isn't in their possesion when it comes to playing Smash competitably, props to you for doing your own thing, uniqueness is way too cool.
You know what I mean N. I've already said what I expect. Yes stages are a possibility, but whether they are "stages" or custom stages I'm not sure. I see stage builder being improved. Please its not like we think they're just going to send us messages and call it DLC. They've done stages before, so I don't think they'd give us too much beyond that.
On a side note, I've gotten my video Quality down, so I'll be uploading. For the first time in years.
Maybe you could just reask me the questions. I'm too lazy to go dig them up amongst the derp.Yo, oSo- that's a pretty vague request, do you think you could be a little more specific? I mean, I do go into depth when responding, so out of paragraphs of text I can't be sure which parts are unclear to you.
Actually we do have something like, well sorta, check it out below:We should all ( like everyone on the boards ) mass email Nintendo and tell them what to avoid.
The game is meant for US after all.
1. I think you had a good idea what I was going at. I have nothing to say more on this one.1. There's no real cost for perfect shielding UNLESS the opponent delays an attack.
True, I'll add that both opponents have little to no compromise in their stance, usually the goal is to gain ground, but that usually isn't the result here. Perfect shields also make it easy to downplay the importance of projectiles and/or their mind games if all you have to do is time your shields right (thinks of samus' super missile at 150%). However I can't say I have really contributed much to your concept. So go for it.
2. There is more risk and reward involved with alpha counters.
Anything that promotes rewarding one's efforts is okay by me.
3. Alpha counters can change the momentum of a fight in the blink of an eye, at least in a more exciting way.
Would you say that the complaint against defensive play could be solved by this?
I mean, in smash recovery is mostly about spacing. Getting your footing can be easily read as stalling even though you are trying to survive. That aside, I love to see the tides turn for players that aim to work for it.
4. Alpha counters can be countered. Not so much for perfect shielding.
All I can say for the latter is LOL at the idea of projectiles bouncing back and fourth. In collegiate style wrestling, the goal of reversals is that you keep doing it until you can lock it down: that takes effort and reading skill.
5. In my opinion, alpha counters are more accessible and its importance can be seen from a casual standpoint.
In other words they are practical. Sure
Dude thanks for showing this to me, I would have never found it meself.Actually we do have something like, well sorta, check it out below:

People should really contribute some ideas here, it should be expanded!!
IDK, I've been thinking the shields should be able to retain more damage.I never really thought the Brawl Sheilds gave way at all. Fully charged smash attacks should cause the shield to drop to 25% at the most, making it a risk to brace attacks like these.
Maybe, maybe not. Different games do it differently. That being said, perhaps the strength of an opponent's attack (when braced) should up the meter
So you're saying that spacing is a factor when deciding pressure and alpha counters? OK.-An of course, the closer an opponent's attack the more accessible a counter would be. Attacks should to make decent enough contact or else the counter might end up missing.
-Notice how smash attacks end up putting space between the characters when that attack is blocked, this makes timing/reading crucial for a counter. Since the aggressor has the momentum most of the time, they aim to stay on the aggressive path, so you're in luck.
Too bad it wasn't an official Twitter account. It may be a joke, but I'm willing to bet this is the closest we are going to get to a confirmation Prof. Layton is going to be in smash
EDIT: OMG it may be a joke, but that's awesome Geno was mentioned
Eh, whatever. IGN thinks it's by a twitter account set to advertise the upcoming Layton game.Too bad it wasn't an official Twitter account.
Also, nLIM8d, that signature is hilarious. Who knew I was starting something with Project: Fabulous? lol
