it was just three pages though. it could be worse, could have been a flashback chapter. Usually when there's flashbacks in the middle of fights, it means something epic is about to happen... with the exception of Sakura vs Ino in the chuunin exam

Yeah, Naruto does that WAAAY too much, especially in the anime, partially why I quit watching episodes (coupled with long stares and standing around longer than any other anime in existence, and filler). I don't care how little it is, I don't need to read or watch the same thing ten times, PLEASE. Maaaybe just a page, that is it.

This Thursday they are going to continue the show. Man this anime is was insane with all the flash backs. I don't mind flash backs but not like 10+ flash backs in a row....

Doing just one chapter of flashes hardly makes much sense since they to try and add emotion to specific acts throughout Naruto, for example the numerous Narutofication of evil guys that turn them all fuzzy inside despite all the people they have killed.

And you'll probably really like the first major arc as that's pretty much what got it popular in the first place.
