Could be a **** right now.
Don't want to be a ****.

Just gonna say.

Not hating on the match-up (I had fun watching GF's).

Nope, we're banning puff.

Somebody get them Brawl kids over here. They know how this works.

Edit: But really, nobody is to blame for the entertainment value of the gfs, we just all wish there was another way.

I propose a new rule for smash tournaments.

"If, in the event of a Grand Finals consisting of Hungrybox vs. Armada, the matchup of (Jigglypuff vs. Young Link) occurs, the event will result in the immediate disqualification of both players involved."

Better get a secondary! =P

But yeah. If you DIDN'T camp each other, I would have lost all faith in the development of the metagame.

legit point, but you probably want to pick up a 2ndary. players 3rd-17th could probably beat Armada's Ylink.
I don't know, from what I heard Armada's Young Link was puttin' in work against players and characters that weren't Hungrybox/Puff.

YL's pretty bad. No matter how good you might be as a player.. the character is just unreliable.

Haters: Get over it, guys. It's Jigglypuff vs. Young Link with $3,000 on the line. Sorry for wanting to win.

Friends and People who understand: You're what keeps me playing.

Armada: Good sets, my friend.

Apex 2012 was great.
Not hatin', Hbox. I was rooting for you the whole time.

if anyone is gonna perform in a reliable manner with an unreliable character it's gonna be armada though

i remember reading a post on here about armada beat macd with ylink instead of doing the ditto and i think i read another one about armada beating lovage (playing fox of course) with his ylink

I liked the matches, every little hit was so important, the tension was heavy with so much on the line. Seeing young link in a grand finals match was awesome too. I like crazy flashy combos, but I've seen plenty of those. This was something special, the most high level spacing, trapping, mindgaming, etc. Armada is something else, and you gave him a run for his money. Soo good.

The only thing I didn't like with the outcome is Europeans bragging that Europe > USA. No, Armanda > everyone (atm), the rest of Europe did poorly. That was what the crew was about after all.

Like he would go YL against them in the first place >__>

Keep it up Juan! You've shown huge improvements each time you play Armada's YL. Here's to seeing you win the next one =D

Good matches, Hbox, way to fight it out with your best stuff.

I'm not HBox's biggest fan because I don't follow this stuff as much as I want to, but I'm probably at least top fan #36.

I agree with you hbox, but honestly, the whole thing started with you taking jigg's camping to the extreme, armada just responded in kind. I can say that if I was playing for 3k and the world champion title on the line I would be a little swayed by money to play to win. But can you honestly say you had fun playing that match up?

Or...heres another question, do you think armada would have used young link on you no matter what your style simply to counter your character?

Thank you Based Mimi.
No I don't think it's a bad thing. I'm not saying it's particularly fun to watch, but it was pretty intense.

Also, this might not mean much coming from me, but Hbox, you definitely seemed to have improved a lot. I talked to Armada, and he agreed with me. You improved a lot, so maybe next time! Good games!

Hungrybox, you're ****ing awesome for clearly defeating mango and almost defeat armada in a 70-30 match-up and i can't wait to see what you're Ness looks like. If you use ness against armada's ylink i will become a hungrybox fanboy.

Ness vs. Young Link would have been awesome to watch.

Either way, keep on keepin' on. You're a talented man, I don't know why anybody would dispute that.

Also I want to add, a lot of people are saying hbox improved a lot, I totally agree, and I don't think jigg's carries him to any extent now.

When I crack jokes about the GF set, it's all in good fun (hence why they're usually accompanied by this guy ---> :troll:). I can't speak for anyone else, but I imagine there are others that do the same. I have nothing but respect for you as a player, whether the game you play looks like Brawl or Melee.

I was on the edge of my set for the entirety of both sets. I'm as big of a fan as flashy awesomeness as the next guy, but you're definitely one of my favorite players to watch. The lightshielding and nairing of boomerangs, among other things, were definitely tight. Congrats on second, and good luck in your future endeavors to ruin the game for everyone.
