japanese industry lately is about either fanservice, moe, ecchi, fanservice or series that has been there for over 10 years (and probably fanservice).... looks that they've lost what made them great in the first place
Oh good, so there's still a chance of them making Arcana Heart 4 then.
Dude, all entertainment industries are like that now. People are reviving old franchises to get quick returns on their investment because they know that the existing fanbases will be willing to pay for it no matter how dumb or half-***** it is.

You realize that MLP is basically a slice-of-life show, right?
But yeah, the only slice-of-life show I liked was Azumanga Daioh, which was made before the slice-of-life moeblob explosion of the mid-late 2000s. Millions died. And by died I mean "turned into ****".
Thank god we have shows like MLP or else everyone would turn into a homo.
