I really can't make a list since all of them captivates me in some way.

Pinkie for Being herself, Basically A Toon and her songs are enjoyable.
Twilight cause i'm the guy who likes Bookworm Girls (Not ponies Zajice), and her voice while singing.
Rarity's singing is great as well.
Fluttershy cause I can relate to animals liking me, Mostly Random cats, dogs, hamsters etc. Hell i've had this bird 13 years of my life and he's escaped to the outside world many times and returned to me.
Ajay for being a silly pony (Mostly the faces she pulls in Applebuck Season), stubborn, and hardworking.
Rainbow Dash... oh god I can't think of anything aside from being Tomboyish and Competitive.

For Background Pony, DJ Pon-3/Scratch. Whichever everypony usually states.
Favorite Non-Mane Pony, Trixie wins.

Ajay always has an excellent voice.

It's kinda hard to make a list really since I love them all. That's not including my all time favorite, Applebloom.

EDIT: Oh wait! That one mare with green fur and a red mane/tail combo that wears the white cowgirl hat and boots in Over a Barrel! She helps Pinkie on stage during the song portion, and she's seen here and there in the story.

Just in case you haven't actually started watching the show, the first two episodes are the weakest but provide a good intro to the series and it's universe.

EDIT: My favorite episodes are 13, 4, 16, 18 and 9. Idk what the others recommend or think are some of the better episodes.

Yeah, I read the OP so I started on episode 3! Today is my day off work so I'm gonna watch the rest of them!

lol I know, it really isn't. To be honest I effing love Rarity, but the others just appeal to me more or make more of a connection for me.

Fluttershy for me is number one as I loved her from episode one. I found her quiet and shy nature to be extremely cute and I loved how she looked with her manestyle and coloration. As the series went on, she started to really remind me of my girlfriend and seemed to develop into a really strong character on the inside as well. She also has a lot of great lines and is an amazing character due to all her relationships and her innocent being (the part where she's curious about the fake turtle when rainbow dash is about to prank her is too cute :3c).

To be fair, I liked Rarity a lot in that "Success" episode, but honestly it's not that she's bad... The other ponies are just too good!
