Why was brawl totally excluded from the trailer for Raleigh?
If your talking about this video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcCL1m_QNPo&feature=sub ,

It's because we don't have the rights to stream SSBB game play, thus we can not show any SSBB game play. Please read here for a full explanation: http://www.mlgpro.com/content/relat...k-with-Sundance-Super-Smash-Bros-Brawl-Stream

Here is the SSBB Pre-Raleigh article: http://www.mlgpro.com/content/page/...inues-A-Preview-of-the-SSBB-Action-in-Raleigh

Will the tvs at mlg be HD or just a regular LCD?
Just asking to see if there will be any HD lag. Thanks.

I was told that you can't compete at MLG Dallas unless you have previously attended an MLG tournament, is this true?

Also, how will MLG Dallas be run? Will it still be a 256 man bracket? Or will it be open to any who want to enter?

I know they are kinda both the same question but yeah..

I've heard that if a player hasn't attended at least 2 events up to this point, he does not receive the $200 stipend, and the players below move up. Is this true? Could you explain how that works please?

anyone can enter, top 8 seeds automatically in champ bracket+128 others in open bracket
its on the mlg website

@richbrown: if you've only attended 1 tournament, you probably won't be a pro

DSF, Dojo, and Gnes only attended one tournament.
if i calculated correctly, dsf, dojo, and adhd are all tied for 13th
gnes is tied with tearbear for 16th
so they're barely one

edit:big lou is ahead of all of them, so gnes is out

Would you, or anyone, mind sending me the link to where it says that?

Also, if this is true? they are only letting 128 people into the bracket? Is that true? Isn't that kinda dumb, considering they are dishing out $35,000 to the top 8.

I'm pretty confused as to all this?

I really want to go to Dallas, but if I wont if I can't even enter the tournament... =(

That's not true.

All Active members of the SSBB Pro Players Association who are registered for the Event, and attend, starting with the 3rd Pro Circuit Competition, will receive $200

You'd get the stipend at the event.

First, you'd be emailed with information about the Pro Players Association. Before you get any of the perks, you'd have to print out, fill out, and fax back in the PPA forms.

As for spectator passes, spectating is free in DC. However, if you are still a Pro Player heading into Dallas, you'll be contacted via email about it.

Also, please remember that any emails sent, will be sent to the one linked to your MLG Username, so make sure it's current, and you have access to it.

What is the closest airport to the MLG DC Venue?
  • BWI (Baltimore)
  • IAD (Dulles)
  • DCA (Reagan)

The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Reagan National Airport and within a 45-minute drive from both Dulles and Baltimore Washington International Airports.

Also, a user posted this on the MLG Forums, so you may want to check it out. This is purely for you to look into, as I have not looked into it, but it could be helpful. I'd suggest calling the airport / train / hotel to verify.

GelatiCruiser said:
Just a note on the transportation from the airport to the venue: Reagan National will be your easiest followed by Dulles and then BWI (time wise and monetarily). Reagan National has a Metro station located on the Yellow/Blue line so you can just hop on the Metro from the airport and go a few stops South to King St. From there it's a couple bucks for a cab ride across the bridge to the venue. It's probably your cheapest option. Entire trip from airport to venue might take 15 minutes and be less than $12. I know it's only a few $$ cheaper than the shuttle service, but lots of people traveling to the venue are usually on a strict budget. Just a thought.

Deimos, I don't have a question, I just wanted to say that you are a blessing to the community. You have been here, and come up with clear, concise, and honest answers to the entire community's questions, and we are very grateful to have you.

@Fatal, I'll talk to some up-tops to find out about Jerseys and an extra set-up in the pro-lounge if Deimos doesn't know.

As for Fatal, I'll ask tomorrow about the set-up and Jerseys.

Thanks! Totally agree with pierce too :]
Jerseys will not happen this year; however, we are still looking into the extra station in the Pro Lounge. I'll reply back here if I find out anything more.

Deimos will you be at DC? I didn't get to meet you at Cbus, and you weren't at Raleigh~

Extra setup in Pro Lounge would be great, definitely enough room for it.

1. The tournaments are open to everybody. You will just purchase a pass online when passes go on sale on MLGPro.com (you need to register for a MLG Username), and then you just show up on the day the tournament starts to play.
2. The hotel that MLG will have the special rates in has not yet been announced. The venue location has also not been announced.
3. Player passes cost 35$ for a singles pass. Everything else is dependent on you (i.e. travel, hotel, food)
4. You'll have to talk to your fellow smash players about this; however, many of them do LAN after the tournaments are over for the day.
5. The hotel that MLG will have the special rates in has not yet been announced. I would suggest not booking a hotel room until you know where the venue location is so you aren't stuck driving from the hotel to the venue
6. You'll have to talk to your fellow smash players about this
