Yes. Online registration will close on Monday, May 31st at 11:59 PM EST.Is there still time to register and get in on this?
It will more than likely be Saturday. However, once you get to the venue, you can go up to the SSBB Tournament Directors (Alpha and JV), and ask them when they will be opening up registration for doubles. Will registration for 2v2 be on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. This is important to me because I might need to find a teamate there lol
Yes, you can purchase spectator passes at the door.can you buy spectator passes at the door?
Non-professional cameras are permitted. If it is a "professional" type camera, you may be asked to put it away. Are we allowed to bring cameras in and record?(with out a tripod just hand held)
For doubles seeding, I understand that with the first event it was done by singles placings.
For the Columbus event, will it be done exactly the same way, or will the Orlando placings have anything to do with how doubles players are seeded?
So a flip cam is allowed?Y

I'll get back to you on Monday about that.So a flip cam is allowed?
Yes, you should always have a photo ID of some sort with you. Also, do not forget your wired controller. If I am under 18 years old, then I need to bring the Parental Consent form to the event. Are there ANY other things that I need to bring - such as an ID of some sort (e.g. copy of my passport, student ID, etc.) - in order to complete my registration? I have already put my name and my contact number in the Team Builder.
http://media.mlgpro.com/site/forms/2010_Parental_Consent_Form.pdfI dont' see where the child consent form is on the 4th step of the team builder...
A school ID will be fine as long as it has your name and picture on it. You shouldn't need a photo ID, but its always good to carry one just in case. Can my photo ID be a school ID? I don't have a driver's license yet. If not, I'll just carry a copy of my passport in my wallet.
There are no wireless controllers allowed at all. None of them can have any wireless capabilities.Does the no wireless controller policy also affect Gamecube wireless controllers like the Wavebird? If yes, I might just have to buy a new GC controller.
You can ask another player, who is not currently playing, if you would be able to borrow their controller. Columbus has tons of stores too, so if you get in on Thursday, I'd suggest to go around to try and find a Gamecube controller. You have about 5 minutes to get to your station after your name is called, so you better have a controller by thenOk so regarding the BYOC, worst case scenario:
If you fail to bring a controller, your controller breaks, or your controller is deemed illegal for play, what action is taken?
Disqualification? Or do we just ask around to see if anyone is nice enough to lend a controller for a match?
Unfortunately I thought I could get a controller at gamestop, and that failed, and I'm not confident that if I order a controller now, it will ship in time.
Edit* found my old gc controller...it's so beat up and sticky and busted from playing melee...but its legal. Question still stands however
Double edit* spoke too soon, the controller makes one of my characters all but completely invalid.
No, there are no SSBB Pro Players until Raleigh, so there will be no SSBB Pro Lounge at Columbus.deimos, can the previous top 16 get access to some kind of reserved stations for extra warm up? I think we deserve it! if not, the normal warmups will be ok just it was really hard to get a warm up in orlando with people hogging the stations, and since orlando only had 190 entrys and this one basically sold out, it will be insane. Thanks
You will just need to tell us your username at check-in. You should also bring with your a valid photo ID of yourself.Just to clarify something, do we need to being any sort of proof that we bought a team pass or will we just need to tell them our username at check in?
check All is Brawl tournament listings or the Smashboards one to find tournaments close to you personally I perfer the AIB one, you may also want to play a bit of wifi at the beggining to learn the basics of match ups but once you get decent enough you will probably only want to screw around on wifi.gosh, I wonder how good you have to be to get recognition in the MLG. Are there ever going to be any tournaments in the new england area? I'm really new to this all, and may finally go to my first tournament this saturday, but I would love to be a "pro" someday.
