As far as I know this controller is offically made by Nintendo and has no turbo button on it. My only concern would be if I'd be denied using it, simply because it is a solid white color.

VVV ok thanks for the response

No, the Top 16 players are not considered Pro until after Columbus. So the top 16 players from Orlando, are not considered Pro.

You can view the Orlando Photos by going here: http://www.mlgpro.com/photogallery/?id=44

Correct, if you fall out of the top 16 after Columbus, you will not be considered Pro.

I will see about your picture as well. Please PM me your MLG Username.

Since Major League Gaming has full control over the set-ups at their events, may I ask why there still is tripping? The answer is probably just the elusive obvious.

Can you please explain? Do you actually mean people falling?

If I buy a Player Pass for an event, then am unable to go to the event, can I refund/sell/transfer the pass?
There are no refunds for passes. However, you can transfer the pass to another event, or you can try and find a buyer for your pass. Either option would require you to email anakin@mlgpro.com

[Responding to what amounted to a request to remove tripping]:

In Brawl, there is a mechanic called "tripping." Each time you begin a dash, there is a 1% chance that, rather than dashing, your character will instead fall to the ground. Some people prefer to utilize game modifying hacks to remove this feature from the game. To see some debate on the matter, see the following:

Current debate thread; OP is pro-hack:

Here's one summary post which is pro-abiding-by-US-Law:

Can you provide a complete list of the agreements (with links to the agreements themselves) I would have to sign before participating at MLG: Columbus? I recently heard that one of the waivers is scarily all-encompassing, and I would like to have the opportunity to review any and all such contracts with my lawyer before spending a lot of money buying a pass which is worthless if I don't sign them.

You don't have to sign anything to ATTEND an event...those who place pro do.

And a pass is $35, hardly a lot of money.

To enter you have to sign a whole waiver, and that definitely is SOMETHING
Since when? I don't remember ever having to do that last season.

And if that is the case then it probably just has to do with them not being responsible for anything that may happen to you in the event and then stuff stating that if you are on a main stage you are only allowed to wear clothes with things that MLG would sponsor and them being allowed to use your likeness, etc, etc.

You'll have to excuse me because this waiver is something I never had to deal with lest season.

I believe the waiver was only to enter the Disney Wide World of Sports.
Also I think there was a necessary waiver if you are younger than 18

The Singles event is the main event, which is why its on Friday and Saturday ;)

This will probably not change, but if it does, I'll make a big post here.

I believe you are referring to the Parental Consent Form. I do not have a copy of the one that deals with people over 18, but this says the same thing.

http://media.mlgpro.com/site/forms/2010_Parental_Consent_Form.pdf

This is a Media Release form that all participants must sign, which I'm assuming is what you are looking for. You may also be referring to the Disney Waiver; however, that was only required for the Orlando event.

If your over 18, you just have to check a box off in Teambuilder saying that you've read it, so that is probably why you don't remember signing anything.

Is there a chance that a player can become pro even after the intial top 16(Columbus & Orlando)?
Can you please explain? I'm not quite sure what you mean. Are you asking if a player who is not pro, come to Raleigh, and earn pro status? The answer would be yes. You'd just have to place very well in Raleigh, and hope that current top players don't place well.

However, if you are asking if you can be Pro after just one event, that is highly doubtful since many of the top 16 players will be going to most of the events.

If you look at the rank points: http://pro-circuit.mlgpro.com/pro-circuit/2010/columbus/super-smash-bros-brawl-1v1/rank-points

You will be able to see what it would take to become a Pro Player after the first two events.

No new information. If there is, trust me, you guys will be the first to know.

I mean that if one didn't go to Orlando, and one doesn't make the top 16 @ Columbus, can they become Pro eventually in the season?

Once the 1st batch of players become top 16, are they set in stone top 16 for the rest of the circuit? Or does it change after every event if a player beats out a top 16 in points? Will they still recieve a stipend even after they're knocked off their throne?

To answer the question simply, if you have enough seeding points to be seeded in the top 16, then it doesn't matter when you get those point, you will be a pro.

However, since the best players will likely be attending most events and placing in the top 16 regularly, it will be hard to to break into the top 16 if you miss events or don't place well.

No

Theoretically yes, you could still become Pro, but it would be very tough if you did not go to Orlando and you do not place top 16 in Columbus. The top 16 are not set in stone after Columbus. It can change after Raleigh. Players no longer top 16 will not be considered pro, so they would not receive the stipend. The stipend is only for the active top 16 Pro players.

I won 350$ at MLG Orlando, but since I am under 18 I am required to have my parents' signatures. MLG JV said to fax the sheets to him, however, the fax number did not work. Is there anyway I can physically mail it to a location, or speak to someone else from the MLG staff?

Is there any information how the wifi ladder placements will effect seeding at Columbus for those of us that weren't at Orlando (aka me lol). Lets say places 1 through 33rd at Orlando got points (idk the number, just an example). Would the first place finisher on the online bracket/ladder be getting something like 34th seed, or perhaps higher?

*waiting for the online bracket to start tomorrow, time to get firrrrrrssst

No, he said 1 pro circuit point is greater than any amount of online points so you could only get as high as whatver place they stop giving pounts out to(I think 65th or something)

The rules for the columbus online ladder said that players could purchase a players pass reserved for them starting on the 26th, but I never saw any option anywhere to do so. Also it says the bracket starts today (27th), so I guess the bracket will be posted soon? It also says the bracket runs on a Tue/Thur schedule at 9pm, so I guess just be online and check GameBattles then? I've never done a GameBattles final bracket before.

Apparently a few spots got points after 33rd, just fractions of points. They still have an effect on the seeding though.
