Anyone have any idea how big 1.8 is? I mean from a data size standpoint. I want it so bad.
Edit:

I have 1.8 mb as opposed to my previous JAR file which has 1.3 mb

The previous (1.7) one has a lot of mods in it, which the (1.8) new one has only 1

Even though 1.8 isn't going to be released soon, Jeb is making an update to the 1.8 prerelease to get rid of some of the bugs.

LOL, if they are updating the prerelease you might as well call it 1.8 released

If they iron out bugs in 1.8, they'll be able to catch more bugs. Seems logical to me.

but 1.8 is already a beta build (well not even that tbh), it seems so redundant to release nightly builds to the public.

>_> *poke* Bad.

You guys should totally post pictures of the stuff you've made :D Go ahead, make my stuff seem puny and insignificant :c
My current project is a giant pyramid.

I'm hoping to make it a big adventure map eventually.

The first floor is a maze. Entrance at the bottom, ladders to the second floor at the top right.

The ladder is surrounded by Glowstone, I'm hoping to make Glowstone a sort of indicator that you're going the right way throughout the whole adventure. Just need to find a way to make that link early on.

In the middle there's this.

Eventually once the player reaches the top of the pyramid they fall all the way through the middle of the maze in this glass tunnel and end up in an underground room aaand find the macguffin probably.

Still at it's very early stages, Only got 1 floor of like... 10+ set up, and it's only got the bare bones so far. Need to make it look pretty and stuff.

Thinking of adding a chest of redstone powder early on so players can mark walls y'know, to mark off invalid paths or whatever.

Oh my GAWD. That is amazing, Seikend. A-And... HUGE. o_o I made a pyramid but it's only like 35x35 and just has a couple stairways (or... slabways, it's Sandstone) leading to a room of Gold Blocks. That's... awesome. o_o Is it just you doing that?

And... er... how do you have a stack of 64 lava and water O.o

He's using some kind of mod, like SPC or TMI

I use INVEdit, lololol. It still works. I may ditch it when 1.8 is released. Probably not though.
INVEdit is so old school

Toomanyitems is where it's at. You can even save 6 items states to switch between different things you need.

I use 3 states, a redstone state, a constructing state and an adventure state

Only program I use is MC Edit, I got it recently. It really helps... but... I don't like to use it if I don't have to. A bit more of a rewarding feeling. To me anyway... but... I don't have a problem with people using things like that at all! :D; Eheh.

Anyone here use texture packs? o3o

Most texture packs don't feel right to me, aside from ones that barely change anything like Painterly.

Honestly... after playing with a Zelda texture pack and now a cool medievalish type pack called SMP's Revival or something like that... I can't stand the look of normal Minecraft. ^^; Everything just looks so... odd. Even cobblestone, which I originally loved, I don't like now since the texture packs I've used make it look like a stone brick. (Matter of fact, the Zelda pack I have makes cobblestone look almost exactly like Stone Brick in 1.8 XD)... not just cracked rock. Actually, in the SMP's Revival pack, stone looks like cobblestone in normal Minecraft :p

Why wouldn't anyone not use texture packs?
I don't feel like going through the trouble of finding one I like, then setting it up.

I want one that makes the texture very simple, almost 1 color.

As in, if I see wood, damn thing is brown. I want a simple texture pack.

I use Dokucraft, before that I used photo realistic (But it slows down the game when you have mods installed)

Candyland (Or whatever it's called) is just silly, so I enjoy using it.

I also use painterly pack, but i don't always like to take the time and set everything up in it.
