at the end of the day, i think everyone, and i do mean EVERYONE just needs to STFU about it and just See what happens first, after january go through with it, see if the game develops past "learn how to beat metaknight", how tournament attendance is(whether it rises or falls) and see if things truly go for better or worse, because one things clear; things weren't looking good with him still around.
Antiban(including you tommy) deal with it, and see what happens, if for whatever strange reason things DO end up worse, chances are he might be unbanned.

The biggest problem with Tommy G and Mikehaze arguments is that they are both an argument from the standpoint of ignorance. Because we don't know what their achievements are then we shouldn't stand by their decision. Playing on the fact that most people wouldn't do the research into their credentials. I have said this before; just because the general populous meat-rides the top level players and knows more about the actors than the script writers, doesn't even begin to mean you or Mikehaze have a point there. OF COURSE PEOPLE WOULD KNOW THE TOP PLAYERS MORE! There is hundreds of brawl matches uploaded on youtube for people to watch on the top players and their achievements. You don't see awesome youtube footage uploaded of TOs organizing and running the event with a livestream feed so you can witness the TO running things and commentary from the Tw1ns. Only the players in the tournament get the footage. So it is only natural that people are aware of top players over the TOs. Also an ironic side note that if it wasn't for these "mediocre *******" (as the ad hominem riddled rebuttals seem to continue to suggest they are) you wouldn't have the majority of this awesome footage to even know about what any of these top players are doing.

Yeah they got along fairly peacefully. They also were fairly loose on the rules (I played a tournament match on the Summit and played teams on PokéFloats, lol!), but I guess that may be a result of the Bay Area being chill... mostly.
Plus let's be honest: Even if you don't like another smash game, an epic match is an epic match. The same goes for any game, really.
But yeah, peaceful Melee+Brawl community > split Melee and Brawl community > arguing/bickering Melee+Brawl community. Not really sure where 64 fits in!

There would be no reason to bring him back once he has officially been banned. Pllayers that quit because of the ban might not come back and players that came back because of the ban might leave. This whole ban thing was not a great idea. they should have just waited until after apex to make a decision and collected data from the MK banned tournaments that happened between now and then
