Great summary of a great year. I love this game **** game.

So many unexpected things happened - both good and bad.

Long live Melee!

..and rest in peace Nes Noob, you will be missed.

I wish I had a mullet. That'd be amazing.
You can take mine, for a while.

Anyway, nice post. I was in the mindset that brawl was going to eventually overthrow Melee. Glad it's quite the opposite, if Pound 4 was any indication. Can't wait to get to more events this year.

I like this, good ****, nice work juggleguy
So basically the largest tournaments winners were:

2004's largest tournament: TG6 -> Azen
2005's largest tournament: FC3 -> Ken
2006's largest tournament: MLG New York Playoffs -> Azen
2007's largest tournament: EVO World -> Ken
2008's largest tournament: Pound 3 -> Mango
2009's largest tournament: Genesis -> Mango

Btw, has Mango lost only 2 tournaments (UCLA V and ROM II) since he won UCLA IV in 2007? o.O

Yeah I like that pattern we got going now... at this rate it'll be 2010: Mango, 2011: Mango, 2012: Mango/end of the world, 2013: Mango....etc.

It's just gettin better and better imo. Despite two PUFFS going to finals this year so far, my hopes are high and the skills are gettin fierce. My new years resolution, thanks to Genesis, was to get my Fox, Falco, and PEACH really good. Posting more will clearly make this resolution come true.

they should like...totally put Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 in the next super smash bros. XD

on the non-noob side note, if competition is getting more fierce in melee, how are all of yous on smashboards who compete in the tourneys gonna prepare? And is it really that bad to play melee first then brawl second? or is it better to not play brawl at all while you train? maybe it's cause i'm a noob but i don't seem to have that much of a problem after playing melee for a couple hours and switching to brawl. answers to questions are greatly appreciated ^^

so brawl then melee is ok? or not playing brawl at all? I'm asking because i want to know if it is useful for gaining any skills in melee (i'm willing to try anything)
