So I'm almost done ME1, I have to go to Ilos now.

Also, the mission where you have to speak to major kyle is an example of bad game design. x_x

Level 39 w/beast ARs and armor too. :p

You'll find that none of us really know much about ME1 because, while the story is great, the gameplay and inventory are completely terrible so most of us just try and get through it ASAP.

Anyway new ME3 pic! There's no spoilers it's just Liara but I'll collapse it anyway.

Because you haven't played ME2 yet, lol.

Don't get me wrong, I thought 1 was fantastic. It's just that there are things people don't like about it. For me, its the planet traveling and the clunked up inventory. I liked everything else about it. Tbh, I didn't mind the inventory at all... Until ME2 came out.

For 2, one thing was that I didn't work so well with the mineral gathering system. Played through the game 3 times and I still never got used to it.

Why would they change that? I like pressing the random on-screen buttons. It's easy. :p

I've only gotten to play ME2, and well, it's gameplay is quite nice. Though I've only used Soldier and Sentinel so I haven't gotten to experience that whole "Vanguard Biotic Charge everyone to death!" rush people talk about. That's one good thing about the demo though. I can test out every class for about an hour or so at a time.

When it comes to ME1's gameplay, I enjoyed but when you play ME2, you'll see the difference.

Also, with the ME3 demo that's coming out, will it have the MP included?

The Multiplayer will come out on the 17th.

That being said though, that week's going to be awesome. Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend AND the single player ME3 Beta on the same day, Survivor premiering the next day, and the Multi-player beta of ME3 on the 17th. Going to be amazing.

Well, it's just that 'terrible' wasn't the word I would describe it with. I still had fun with it. But to each his own, as always.

But I do feel that the revamped battle system in ME2 was an overall better experience and a huge improvement over ME1. The only thing that bugged me was the inclusion of
thermal clips
, which still makes me 'WTF?' because of the inconsistency from 1 (unless there was something I missed; I don't read the Codex), but it's not something to go crazy about.

Read the codex. Thermal clips are there because the Geth used them and the galaxy realised that people spent time waiting to shoot when the best way to fight was shooting as fast as possible, hence thermal clips, no waiting, just reloading every so often.

Yeah, I saw that name on one of the descriptions of IGN's podcast on their front page. Though I really don't know who Vega is, and knowing who VA's them is not gonna destroy me either lol.

Yeah, I just hate those people, who even finding out the VA or a character name will go "OMG WTF d00d?! Now the story is ruined!"

No offense to anyone here.

There's a reason why they completely and utterly revamped the gameplay in ME2, and are sticking to it in ME3.
Sure they improved the gameplay in ME2, but ME1's gameplay was still great. Oh and I hate thermal clips, I preferred having unlimited ammo, especially since there were ways to avoid overheating your gun. Thermal clips were annoying since you always had to concern yourself with finding more ammo.

Well, apparently the complete squad list WOULD be spoileriffic and stuff, so yeah...I'm about as anti-spoiler as it gets though, so...

Speaking of VAs, is Martin Sheen voicing TIM? I haven't read anything that states he is.

Oh, my apologies, I meant February 14th, Valentine's Day. Or, as my one friend insists on calling it: "VD Day".
Aw, well at least it's only a few weeks to go.

It's been confirmed that he's returning to play TIM's voice again. Non-spoiler, IMDB has him listed, potentially spoiler, the new footage from Gametrailers and the Vega featurette has a tiny new audio clip that's clearly Sheen talking as TIM in it. I don't know where in the game it's from though.

If you play through ME1 again, do you get to keep your level? Also, are the enemies stronger?
You keep your level and IIRC, no, the enemies don't get stronger but I think before you start the NG+, you're given the option to change the difficulty setting.

You get to keep your level I think FA8L.

The Illusive Man.

Also Xanthan the fact that the only weapon you need in ME1 is a pistol due to being able to (almost) make it shoot forever is bad game design.
So? That doesn't mean that they had to abandon the unlimited ammo, just tweak it so that pistols aren't as dominant. As much as I liked Mass Effect 2, it was annoying that I would have to go find thermal clips after every fight. They should either bring back unlimited ammo, or allow guns to carry more thermal clips, because even when I try and be as accurate as I can, I still end up running out of ammo for certain guns pretty fast (such as the heavy pistol). On higher difficulties its pretty easy to burn through ammo.
