Yup.

Someone made the point, if you didn't make the effort to put the time into the other games, they shouldn't reward you with the 'rewards' from the other two games. Makes sense to me.

I probably won't disappear. But I'll be scarce, that's for sure.

Yeah, I guess I see what you mean. That being said, there are some things from ME2 that punished us PS3 users who just COULDN'T play ME1. Rest assured, if Mass Effect 1 was out for PS3, I'd have played through it a bunch by now.

For that, I feel you got TERRIBLY shafted. :c I haven't done any research on how Bioware is going to do anything for you, if anything.

... Are they?

Because you're missing out on A LOT.

You're missing out on Kirrahe, the build up with Saren, character development, even little side quest stuff. :/

Well, for what it's worth, Kirrahe was in the ME3 demo that I had, so I figure he'll be default alive? I'm just more upset that I'm missing out on Conrad freaking Verner.

Edit: Okay, that and Vrmire, Kaiden AND Ashley, Wrex in the party, Saren, Sovereign, seeing different parts of the Citadel, Normandy SR-1, Hanar, and generally the establishing of the Mass Effect Universe and getting to see how it's like pre-Reapers with everyone going about things and like, the Citadel politics and stuff.

The comic allows you to make all the choices from ME1. Personally I watched Para/Rene walk through which basically put me in the game for ME2. I heard there might be a super bonus for playing all 3 games but if that is true....PS3 users(at least those that bought the comic) should get the same thing. I mean...it's not like we have a choice about playing ME1:urg:

It's been a while since I've played ME1 myself, but you're making me really think about it.

And there's A LOT.

I'm getting upset for you. And I'm not a PS3 sympathizer. But you're a Mass Effect bro, now.

Bros before ****ty consoles.

BROS BEFORE ****TY CONSOLES.
I don't hate the PS3. I just have no reason to get one. :)
And the demo doesn't really mean much. :/ It's not based off of any saves.

I have that for XBOX too; We got the same thing PS3 users got. You don't get any decision making for a lot of stuff that I already mentioned. :/ Kirrahe, DLC, etc. Which, while minor to ME2, is a BIG deal for 3 most likely.

I see no reason to pay for online gaming especially since I go months without playing at times. Not to mention there with the fad of DLC for most consoles we are all dishing out too much money for in most cases as it is. I actually have an Xbox now though I just don't have the money to buy ME1 and 2 and then 3 again nor do I have the time to beat both games(one for the second time) twice and buy all the DLC over again. Then buy everything for ME3....I'm not ballin like that....sorry.

I'm all for rewarding hard work but at the same time I think a super bonus given even to the PS3 users would be compensation for the lack of console equality on their part :smirk:

It's okay man, I've always been FAR from a 360 sympathizer. And hell, I rather do have a bit against the Xbox consoles, lol.
I hear what you're both saying, and I'm not trying to turn this into a console war.

We've all taken our jabs. ;)

Moving on, I still think it's rather crappy that you guys can't really partake in the series when you're missing half the series right now. :glare:

I need to hurry up and finish ME2 since 3 is coming out. It's a great game, but I just haven't had time to really play it too much.

I'm on ps3, btw.
Shoudn't take you very long. I'm half way through my second character. I'll probably wrap him up between tonight and Tuesday for whenever the mail delivers my copy of ME3.

If I have time, I'm gonna make a terribad playthrough with a Sentinel. Mostly because I'm curious about how things can go so badly (i.e., squaddies not making it, and things like that), and what a lot of outcomes will be.

Like, one outcome I had a thought with was, let's say your LI was Ashley... You cheat on Ashley in ME2 with say, Jack.

But Jack dies on the Suicide Mission.

... Well what now in ME3?

THE PLOT THICKENS!!

It's stuff like this that makes me wanna play the game over and over again because I love how much work has been put into this series.

Well, you could make Ashley your LI, then have her die in Vrmire, then make Jack your LI and have her die in the Suicide Mission. Hm...that would just be morbid, weird, and oddly funny if every time Shepard had an LI, she died in the same game.

Cheating does have ramifications. Cheating when they're both dead? No I don't think so because they're dead.

There's no achievement for playing all 3 games, I'm asuming they did this because PS3 owners could never get that achievement otherwise.

Just a warning. Someone on Youtube, by the name of "DeadShep" has apparently uploaded the worst ending possible for ME3 on there, and I'd imagine he's put a bunch of cinemas from the game up on there. I only know because someone I'd subbed to made a comment about "I thought I heard *insert random actor I've never heard of's name* voice" (the comment was spoiler free itself). I obviously didn't watch, so I don't know what it pertains, but well...I'd recommend changing your Youtube status thing if you have one to only show uploads, or something. Just trying to give a heads up and help.

I didn't think they counted as LI until before the end of the game.

So she wouldn't be a LI until AFTER Vermire.

Same thing with ME2, you can romance anyone before the suicide mission?

But still... Having anyone you had a remote interest in DIE both games?

O_O

Emo Shep?

Also, found this today;

I guess you can use BioWare points too. O_o

List of the combos in MP.

Like Tech Burst, and things like that. Good read.

That's both evil and genius in that it means lazy people can just spend their own money, and Bioware gets a few extra ching for it.
Yup.

Someone suggested that it's possible Xbox would be able to use MS points, and probably PS the PSN equivalent.

If that's the case, I have extra points I'm not using, but I'm not gonna go out of my way to buy points just for this.

Assuming the point system remains the same, I could get a Spectre pack in 2 successful silver games. Better be worth it, cause it's about 45 mins to 1 hour of gametime.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Like, I have an extra $2 on my PSN but yeah...lol.

And one thing I've learned from the MP Beta is that being the lone Turian Sentinel, or Infiltrator in general with a Sniper is awesome, but having 2 others is insanely annoying because you'll line up for a headshot, and 2 other rounds will go into where their head used to be.

I hope they either keep it the same, or buff it a little (maybe random generator for a 10% bonus, like the exp?). But yeah, running Silver is a cake walk.

I know EXACTLY what you mean.

Except I'm the guy who gets the shot off first usually. :smirk:

Yeah that reminds me it's like 80MS points for a pack in MP if you want. I've known this for like 2 weeks shoulda said something but I didn't think anyone would care seeing as though you can get packs for free in game.

Edit:

Anyone that's getting this game before it's released over here on Friday, I hate you and you suck I wish I could lock this thread. :c

By the way, what's the Bioware/MS points to Dollars ratio? Like 80 MS points is how much?

I hope ME3 arrives at my house .

Ugh... The wait is killer.

I'm going to be checking Amazon.ca, like every afternoon before I go to the post office just in case. It says I shouldn't expect delivery until March 14th-March 16th, but it's a 5 hour drive for them, and the delivery method is 2-3 business days (including release day), so realistically, it'll be here Friday latest.

A package in an Amazon box showed up at the Post Office today, before I noticed it was my aunt/uncle re-using a box. The exact same thing happened with my pre-order copy of Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend when I had an Amazon box show up at the PO a day before it was due to be released up here. Funny, but cruel. VERY cruel.

Also, side note, apparently, people are posting ME3 walkthroughs on Youtube already.

That sounds pretty harsh, lol. I had that same situation just a couple days ago; I was waiting for a gaming keyboard to come in the mail from amazon. I saw an amazon box near the doorway, but it turned out to be a box my parents used from a purchase I made a couple months back.

My problem is that my relative who pre-ordered the game got it from Target and with fast shipping. I dunno how reliable their online shipping services are.

Just a question. Does anybody know how to link your EA/Bioware account to your PS3 version of things? I'm downloading the Kingdoms of Amalur (sp?) demo so that I can play through it and get the bonus Armor and Assault Rifle (the Todd McFarlane designed ones), and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to redeem things with them when I get my copy of the game, or whatnot.
