Are the DL speeds on the PS3/PSN really that slow? It only took me about 10 min to download the 1.78 GB file.

I have a damn good connection (30mbps/faster than 90% of Canada) so that's why it only took me 10 minutes. :awesome:

Just played the demo.

Pretty nice, I guess. Plays more or less like ME2 combat-wise.

The only BIG problem I have is the dodge roll mechanics. Seriously, I did a lot of unintentional dodge rolls when wanting to run.

Was on PC, btw.

Just played through it. I like it, but it felt...different somehow. I didn't do a single Omni Blade attack because I realized I have no idea how you're supposed to do it. Also after picking Sentinel, I got bummed out in the second mission when I realized I was using default armour and stuff and so I didn't have the whole "recharge time cut to 40%" thing from Mass Effect 2, so I couldn't just keep spamming Warp and Throw every 2 seconds while recharging my Tech Armor every 5.

It's weird the part they leave out in the second mission though.

not gonna lie, shepard runs really weird in ME3 but other than that, it looks great and the level up system is improved, still not ME1 status though

the jump over stuff thing is a little weird, i kept jumping over stuff when i wanted to run into cover, it still feels a little clunky, they still have a week to fix that

So I'm not the only one ho feels weird about the 'I'm-dodging-but-I-want-to-run/cover' thing.

IMO, the interface for the leveling up feels kinda clunky. On the PC, I have to click on the power to raise, click on the level I want it to be, go back, then go down and click confirm. On occasion I accidentally escaped and my points came back to me, but that's probably just my fault.

I just don't know how you could make something like that better though, lol.

Another thing that always bothered me is how stiff you are when your weapon is up. It's still here in ME3 like it was in ME2. I know it's a proper way to hold a firearm, but they all look like dolls.

If you didn't do a heavy melee, how did you complete the first level of the demo, seeing as though you need to do a heavy melee to remove that husk from the door?

All you have to do for the omni blade attack is hold the b button (360) or probably the O button (PS3). As for PC, I have no idea.

lol it's fun to charge it up and destroy enemies in your way with that.

Can you sprint forever in ME3?

I would like an answer to this question as well.

I just normally/regularly melee'd the husk. :p

I didn't DL it on my 360 because I was on my PC writing lab reports the whole day, lol. Might as well DL it while I do them.

My PS3 didn't have the demo until later, and my 360 is all the way in the gaming area of the house. Too lazy to go walk over there.

Well, I thought it was cheap emotional baggage -cough- CoD -cough-, but I do agree the music was solid. Can't expect anything better.

But about the actual events that happened? No I couldn't give a **** about that. It wasn't even shocking, I just liked the music.

Anyway there's one guy on the Bioware forums that's spreading the rumour that
Jack
is a permanent squadmate. He's basing it around the fact that they got a new outfit and look in ME3. But he's not saying "I think they are a squaddie" he's saying "They are a squaddie" and it's fooling people who haven't read the leaks.

So yeah, if you hear that rumour, it's bull****. They do appear in the game like everyone else, but according to the leaks they're not a permanent squaddie.

Nope, I noticed that too. I remember I ended up dying against the Atlas because I was trying to roll but ended up covering next to the Atlus.

I am. I pre-ordered mine from Amazon and I'm getting release date delivery.

I cared about it because the music was amazing.
The music from the demo was great. Clint Mansell for Jack Wall was lossless trade.

Is the PS3 version the only one to suffer from frame rate issues in the first part of the demo?
I didn't really notice any, really. What I DID notice though, was during the opening part, the game re-setting how much ammo you had for certain parts. I noticed when I had 240 shots in my AR, and then when that last sequence of the first part started, I somehow only had 105.
