Very impressive vs DSF and I'm really hard to impress. If you ever get lucky enough to catch me on AIM, hit me up, and I'll give you a few more pointers. You're well on your way to being top 4 Marths in the world IMO.

Also, I have a couple videos online that are worth watching, unlike all the rest of the garbage that gets put up.

Pierce: good Marth yet very very slow.

FF more, mainly after your fullhop fairs.

A LOT less double fair, more sh fair ff.

Stop throwing out aerials to "zone" Peach. You'd fullhop fair when you're way out of range and end up having to catch turnips or eat a dash attack when you land. Just attack her.

Your landings are predictable.

Your lack of grabs really hurts your game. All that Peach had to do was sit in front of you, wait for the inevitable fair, and punish.

East coast Marths would be immensely better if they started attacking and spacing rather than trying to wall with aerials -- excludes Neo.

Haha I just moved past that playstyle, of course when I was doing it, it wasn't nearly as polished, good stuff Pierce, very impressive.

Most EC Marths don't wall with aerials.

Neo, Kadaj, Steel, and CK are all rather aggressive Marths.

Fizzle, 99.9% of Marth's just wall with aerials and think its effective.

However, EC is probably more aggressive than WC atm due to neo's guidance.

Note how we have very few vids against Game and Watch.

I can't say these are perfect matches, but at least they show something about the match-up. It's me against one of the if not the best Game and Watch in Europe.

For your last video, at 2:18, why did you just stand there when G&W was recovering. I like your style though.

Thanks for watching all of it through, as for that specific moment, I don't know. Perhaps I expected him to do weird stuff and use fair or perhaps get the edge. Or I was just too lazy :(.

lmao, I'm actually really aggressive, I just don't attack recklessly in situations I don't understand, so I found a pattern that worked, and stuck to it. Peach's defense annoys me.

lmao @ thinking I wouldn't change up my style if my opponent started running up and shielding a lot. I don't like recklessly attacking Peach, because the good ones will float of range and counter attack. I don't have lot of Peach experience, and VaNz is very smart and doesn't have exploitable bad habits. If you don't understand a character, falling back on basic walls is way smarter than trying to attack them until your walls start getting broken. Considering that my walls were relatively solid, I think it was a good strategy, but I'll take your advice into consideration.

I full hop a lot because since Marth's Fair crushes down on the opponent, it's actually better spaced while you're above, and allows for me to evade a lot of my opponent's options that would not ordinarily hit that high. It is very unexpected at higher levels of play, so it allows me to introduce a new type of vertical spacing that I have a better mastery in than my opponent. It let me get over quite a few attacks.

I generally dislike grabbing, though I use it more in other MUs. Peach's ability to float discourages me from grabbing her. My vertical game and juggling is good, but not too destructive. I prefer to use Dancing Blade because it deals more damage and is safer in some ways. I do acknowledge my missed grabs.

I dunno, I mean, Neo keeps telling me that I play defensively, but 95% of the people I fight say I have the most aggressive Marth they've ever seen. Hell, at the same smashfest that this match was recorded at someone literally said, and I quote, "****, this is the most aggressive Marth in the world." But, I mean, if Neo says it, and now someone else says it, it could be true. I have a lot of different styles, I don't always play the same, and I tend to pick a defensive style when I'm nervous (IE: fighting Neo) or playing a very good player that I'm afraid of losing to (IE: VaNz). I guess I go more aggressive against people I am familiar with.

Your probably over aggressive, causing your spacing and move selection to be off. oh and since Marth's jab owns over zealous aerial approaching, you can quickly find the ****.

Hey, My V-Log has been updated. I now have some Marth Dittos vs Lain and I also have Four Matches of me vs M2K.
Last Match=No Johns


EDIT: Also someone critique me. I'm trying to adopt a patient strategy. So that I can be proficient in a defensive playing style.

My tournament videos vs Anther weren't recorded :( so That was the best I could give. I swear we try redoing the matches another time but then the T.V. was hit with a kill switch....
