How about we make a video showing the best moments of our battles. We have some talented people here, who probably have clips of some awesome KOs. We can put them all together and make a vid that represents us.

Unfortunatly i have no video editing equipment. I am just suggesting the idea. maybe someone will be nice enough to make it for us?

Im just presenting the idea. Its okay if you people say no.

What think?

The ZSS boards are working on one too.

I think that sounds like a fun idea, we just need someone to take all the replays and put them together.

To be quite honest, well played Marth's are rather boring to watch in my opinion. Or at least the defensive ones.
Aggressively safe Marth's are entertaining to watch though I think, but good luck finding enough of those >>

Yea, but the compilation video doesn't have to show our smart well played kills, just the really nice stupid ones we go for every now and then :D

I doubt I'll make a combo video like I'd really want to, so I can give you plenty of good clips from my saved replays. I can put them into files on Rapidshare if you're like.

Can you take stuff from Youtube videos?

What do more of the MBR bros think about this? Does the prospect of a cool video of all of the Marths appeal to any of you at all?

It wont be too constructive, but a fun project nonetheless. Ill help with it though.

I'm not worthy of such a compilation since I don't do anything noteworthy. I'm just boring lol.

Otherwise, it'll be a nice idea. The Toon Link boards had a similar idea back in the day.

i say we spam up the persons wii with replay clips and note the epic parts. cant we leave messages on the videos? or just send a wii message to the person :|

If not, we need to spam up someone with a capture card or some wii hack so they can upload the videos for us.

Yeah, if I contribute to this, I'll just do some shiz on the spot. That way it'll be cool, AND fresh, and relevant to the metagame (that and between my SD cards and my wii, I have over 1000 replays, and there's no WAY I'm looking through that to find good stuff.)

I see it as a mix of both. I guess watching him face Plank kinda through me toward the defensive side. He stays up in the characters face, but he is still staying back and retreating fairs, essentially defensive imo.

Defense =/= slow. Neo just has a good offense which is something a lot of Marths lack.

You're pretty much right. Against Plank he was defensive and carfull. I thought of that mostly him playing that match-up that way. Because against the Lucario and that Falco, he was very aggressive.

Eh, I see defensive as not approaching. I don't think playing safely necessarily means playing defensively. Fairing and Dtilting at optimal range doesn't mean playing defensively. To me, playing defensively is standing there, shielding and waiting to punish, or not appraoching while camping behind Fairs, Nairs, Dtilt, and jab.

Yeah, there is two sides to the coin. Yet again your probably better off playing slightly offensive against Falco and Lucario. Oh and what Pierce7d said. Everyone has their own viewpoints and opinions on the topic, the point is we all use Marth and he is teh smex.
