I will kindly direct you to this post I made a long time ago.Does Mario's jab have knockback growth? I ask because I want to know if jab cancels like jab jab dsmash only work at a specific percent range or if its all the time.
YES you can, but not the tip of the Zair. If they space perfectly it will still hit. Crouching is still very useful though. I play a good friend of mine who mains Samus and that is what I can say about that.Quick question, can Mario crouch under samus Zair?
@Jimmy: I think so, either that or its really hard to hit him.
Also, how the hell do you fight Game & Watch, god he's ******** with Mario.
Never played a real Pit, but I did secondary him for a little while. Cape doesn't work on his arrows, he just has to angle them towards your feet right before they hit and the cape just sends them straight into the ground.I hate Pit, lol. Should I be camping or rushing this winged *******?
Tip number one against Sheik: Stop jumping against her. Regardless of matchup, she ***** you if you jump (seriously, best anti-air options in the game by far). Once you learn to do this and become comfortable with your ground game, the matchup becomes bearable. She wins it slightly though.Yes we did play Juu! Really nice Sheik and Pit and our Mario dittos were a blast! I have to learn that Sheik MU because you completely ***** me that game.... And no I didn't know you liked Frigate when I picked it.
What do you practice on? Training mode? Lvl 7 cpu? Lvl 3 cpu?I just practice technical tricks.
By technical tricks, I mean almost anything, ranging from:
*Jab cancels, timing and ranges where you can sweetspot Jabs (refer to this picture for information on the frame advantage for Jab cancels, if your frame advantage is 10 or higher on a character not named Kirby, you can reverse U-smash to juggle out of Jab cancel)
*Spacing where fireball -> reverse F-smash combos
*juggle "combos"
*how to navigate Rainbow Cruise comfortably
*knowing edgeguard limits on YI (you can really edgeguard low on this stage thanks to the wall)
*practicing positioning where you can bounce fireballs off objects on stages like Brinstar
*fooling around with items in training mode
*How to buffer anything imaginable. Fullhop U-air -> autocanceled D-air I believe is underused. U-air out of shield is actually still underused by most Mario users and is something that requires practice for proper implementation.
That's an example of what I do when I practice.
