Camp your *** off vs. ICs. Get a lead, kill Nana then run away until you need to kill him. If you accidentally kill him due to a punish that's fine. Stock leads are good. Also, don't go FD or YI. FD is obvious. For this MU, Mario needs multiple platforms. SV's moving platform suffices to an extent. I would normally CP them to Lylat to avoid a pocket MK, but now that he will be banned (lol) RC and Brinstar are great vs. them unless they find another character to CP with.

I like using multiple different characters for fun. I've considered dropping Mario for like Marth and Diddy Kong before, but at the end of the day Mario is the only character I can have fun with even when I'm losing. Though I also secondary Pit for D3 but I haven't played a D3 in tournament yet.

If I ever pick up a top-tier secondary, it'd be Falco.

I tried Falco. He's good, but I don't enjoy it as much as I enjoy Olimar.

-Don`t fool yourselves, guyz, if you really wanna succeed as a Mario main, you have to use him always, no matter what and now that Mk will be banned, since most Marios or at least some of them says that he's stopping us to get further, this will be the chance to shine and raise around everyone else.

If you play just to win, you shouldn't be playing this
if you play for the money, get a job, thats way better
if you play using counterpicks, what are you thinking? without Mk, you don't have to do that, just get better
if you play just to hang with the people, enjoy the scene or maybe to make the people see something unique among everything, you are doing it right.

Btw, i like the new name of the thread haha...-

P.D: every MU is winnable using Mario and you can win a tourney going Mario only, but since Mk changed the whole way of playing brawl, this logic was not true, but it will be now, since, the best with his character will be the top now.

P.D2: if you are worried about D3, just pick Brinstar or BF, put a lot of time in the MU and get ready to make a profit for it.

one grab doesnt=death.......they need multiple times.......plus deedeedee really has no killing moves besides u tilt.....Dsmash....and Bair.......this game has basically poisoned people into thinking "OMG once i face a deedeedee,metaknight,GaW......im basically gonna loose....come on you guys..........think positive.....and stay on your toes....we all no these are hard matchups but there not impossiable........if anything id rather fight a GaW then a wario or a good marth or good lucario......but i just head into the match with no worries(cause im mario) and usually win with a close match........have faith....dont fear........

How do you guys feel about being represented by Count & Krystedez in the MU chart? In the last chart I know a lot of players automatically assumed they knew how to play a low tier character at a top level because they were ranked with a higher tier one. Do you guys think they are capable Marios or is history repeating itself?

I could kinda trust Count since he was generally close to Xero who I defi trust. Krys' name made my eyebrow raise though.

Going all mario is the best thing though, imo.
I love it when others have no faith in mario & disrespect him. xD

To be fair Jimmy... Xero, Count and Krystedez are all the same region as well as the same state. I just know Count as being most familiar w/ and vs. Mario of the two.

Count seconds Mario kind've and Krys knows what he is talking about. They have both played me enough to know a decent amount of Mario's strengths and weaknesses.

There are also two Mario mains in that panel too so it doesn't really matter that much.

Also I didn't quit. Just went on a large hiatus. Now I can drive and have a car though.

Midwest? Sure. Xero still kinda plays, steep is a drastically improving Indiana Mario, there are like two or so in MI iirc, no more OH ones (well, I might count but it's extremely MU dependent now), Coolwhip in IL and probably some more I'm missing.

I play for fun, and I like the competition. I also enjoy the scene, and I like to do unique stuff that makes people turn heads. I normally have a crowd around me when I play :]

However, entering tourney requires money which I don't have much of any more :[

Not really comfortable with that. I'd definitely prefer having someone who's at least used Mario in tournament before as the judge of his match-ups. To my knowledge, they don't use Mario much (not 100% sure on that).

But in all honesty, his match-ups aren't THAT far from what they are currently. The only incredibly odd one is PT, who we should be even with from my experience vs Aposl (really good MD/VA PT main). There's a few that are slightly off (we're actually -1 with Diddy, we beat Samus +1, we're only -2 with G&W, etc) but some are actually spot-on.

Xero vouches for their collective knowledge tho, so I guess I can be cool with them. I just hope the big blunders are fixed.
