Did you see the original MUs? They are so wrong for Mario lol

But Mario sucks so it doesn't matter.

Double posting in ur threads.

Boss we need to play.
I need another Mario head to add to my collection of bad characters I can easily beat.

D'you guys all know how to DI out of Zelda's Dtilt lock?
DI directly away from her, it should only lock like 2-3 times, though she can still follow up from it.

I need help how to DI outta her Up Smash, my friend told me how to do it but I just forgot cuz I havent played Zelda players on wifi in months (10 months possibly)
that picture you sent me...
the image wont leave my head...

I don't think Mario can reliably get out of Zelda's up smash.
I think it's like Marth, Pit, Ness/Lucas.
Idk I'd have to test it again, but I'm pretty sure Mario can't escape under normal conditions.

Midwest? Sure. Xero still kinda plays, steep is a drastically improving Indiana Mario, there are like two or so in MI iirc, no more OH ones (well, I might count but it's extremely MU dependent now), Coolwhip in IL and probably some more I'm missing.

I consider western PA Midwest too sooo...

:phone:
Don't forget me :). I'm trying to make a comeback.

Fujin, Mario can get DI Zelda's Up Smash, it been like so many months ago, since like early 2010 or late 2009. My friend show me. I just forgot the button inputs to like DI from it and live. But I know Zelda's Up Smash is powerful as heck so yeah I'm not underestimate her smashes..

I like using multiple different characters for fun. I've considered dropping Mario for like Marth and Diddy Kong before, but at the end of the day Mario is the only character I can have fun with even when I'm losing.
I'm the same way. I've thought about using Olimar or Diddy, or even Falco but I just have so much more fun with Mario. Although occasionally ****** my friends with a high tier character is fun sometimes...

What do you do against olimars/yoshis that pivot grab you when you land?

Actually, what is the best option to deal with anyone that does that?

If you're landing then try this

Option 1:Spotdodge -> Dair
Option 2: Spotdodge -> Up-B
Option 3: Spotdodge -> Bair
Option 4: Grab if they misses their grab.

Just avoid their grabs w/ spotdodge and whip out a move to punish their grabs.

You can cape stall right before you land as a mind game

Actually, you can do this on anyone and it's legit. You just gotta mix it up.

With other characters too, but I guess you're right about the landing there part.
But sometimes you don't have a choice, like olimar wtf
he grabs from across the stage

if you know you will get grabbed you can try to buffer a struggle and if you get out you can potentially hit olimar with something, especially if he piviot grabs as thats easier to escape.

The best way to avoid a grab upon landing is to reverse your momentum with a pivot fireball. I think it's generally a good strategy because it puts you in a good position to safely throw out a bair.

Dont go to a flat stage and land on the platforms. Seriously, a Yoshi or Oli that knows what they're doing should be punishing your landing at least 90% of the time, just accept that landing there isnt safe and use the platforms.

Also, if you throw out a fireball as Olimar is pivoting, and it hits him as he is pulling you in, you're free from the grab. Olimar's grab is the only one in the game that doesn't have super armor when it connects I believe. That fact can be exploited in some situations such as when he is trying to pivot grab your landing.
