I just can't seem to win against Falco...
Any tips anyone?
Btw, i don't find the Marth MU hard to play, he's pretty easy to read (except for Mr.R's marth, I know what I'm talking about, I played him xd).

You're a little too late in the game for that. Or you could just use a pocket character.

-Fludd can damage you (fludd recovery is super sick)
-Double up-b (super jump punch)
-Jab lock much easier
-fair much more powerful
-Smash attacks are kill moves (can die under 120%)
-mario's dair is like weegees cyclone (but mario goes HIGHER!)
-Shoot LOTS OF FIREBALLZ! lol

Vato always said that diddy is a natural secondary to mario....idk why, but thats his theory.
I think luigi is a natural secondary imo.

But if you are gonna drop mario then you must hand over your cape, fludd, maryo's cap & mushrooms.

imo luigi is a bad secondary... he loses to the same people as Mario.

but to Skidd its all personal preference. If you are looking for characters with more options then test out all of the high tier characters and see which one connects the best out of all of them.

I'm trying the same myself, but you have to understand that the character is ridiculously different. If you've always been an exclusive Mario main, then the character change could be a shock to the system. Another top tier might be easier to adjust to.

Vato probably said that because Diddy is just a pretty much Mario, but with naners instead of fireballs, which makes him hightier.

People figured out the Snake match up, so it might not be the best switch.

I think I read somewhere the reason for all of snake's disjoints and his stupid weight was because he was originally supposed to be bigger and taller, but when they downsized him they forgot to fix his hitboxes and everything

Marth imo is the smoothest transition from Mario. Falco to a lesser extent also takes a lot of what Mario does and makes it better. The biggest roadbumps for those characters are learning to D-tilt with Marth, and for Falco it's remembering to poke with ground moves instead of aerials as well as learning to EFFECTIVELY use his specials to navigate terrain.

Just stick to mario, SKidd. You've came too far in the metagame to quit on him now.
Just keep training, push into new limits, and i promise you it'll pay off.
Nothing wrong in having a pocket character though, i'm sure everyone here has one.
(They know who they are.)

As for me....I've put in so much work in getting stronger with mario.
It got to the point where i'm only good with him & suck with everyone else...lol

I never have a problem with Snake's range specifically. Snake is simply a matchup where either you can do great in it, or if you are not on point it's like "**** this man, this ain't my day". He rarely ever out-solids anyone except for like...the very worst characters in the game. He just out-risk/rewards pretty much everyone.

I like the new A2. He makes more sense XD. Also something with Marth is using fair instead of bair but that's no big deal. I don't know why, but I like characters that just get up in your face and although Mario is bad, he does that. That's why in SC2 I used talim (or link with great fairy sword ). Although they tend to have bad range, its fun for me.

I know da feeling Coolwhip, thats the exact situation Im in. My only character thats as good as my Mario and the closest thing I have to a secondary is Captain Falcon LOL. Thankfully, I have a very similar playstyle to the best Falcon in Canada, Stroumbert so I can hold my own with him in certain MUs. xD
