Best Marios are the ones who does decent in a region with actually GOOD players :]
Good job, you actually got me in a bad mood with that post.

I don't even know why I play this character when the only people I get any respect from are my fellow Midwesterners, and not the other people who play this character I've been trying so hard to represent for over a year.

In fact, the only reason I've continued maining this character is to represent him, I might as well decide to start playing to win and switch to a different character.

But, I won't do that. And now that I'm finished with my Rikrage I feel alot better.

Only Midwester's?

Not really, there's people in our boards that respect your Mario, and like him, although we might not be saying it ;).

I understand how it is. You are in a fairly low populated region and is therefore considered not as good (not saying its true). At least you have respect as a smasher which I don't believe I have. I only have their respect as a person and people say that I have a good Mario but it's not like "oh ****, this Mario is mad good" or anything like that. If you wanna get more known, try and go to some OOS tourneys with a more competitive smash community. Michigan I believe is close to you and has a good smash scene so try going to some tourneys there via smash van or bus. You'll get known and you'll be kicking ***.

Ohio has the MOST competitive community in the Midwest.

I usually go there for tournaments... more than half the tournaments I've been to has been in Ohio. All but two of the Indiana tournaments I've been to has had tons of players, because several of them were circuit events and just well-planned tournaments in general.

The fact of the matter is, I don't play against my region that much, if anybody thinks I place where I do because I only play against Indiana/Kentucky, think again.

A lot of Mario players are really arrogant. It pisses me off too.

Actually, MW is, from what I've heard, the only region left with a still GROWING tournament attendance, and OH in and of itself is absolutely full of smashers.

The only way I can not be nervous at tourneys n MMs n such is to be arrogant as ****...and it works.

Xero/Vato/Kanzaki's confidence makes me lol though, we need that kinda pride XD

I don't get very nervous at tourneys. I just don't get enough sleep/fill my body with all the **** at yummynbeefy's house/hurt my back from driving for so long.

I never thought Bo was really braggish, I also still think he's really good. The last video I saw posted where he lost to a Ganon, I still thought he played really well. The Ganon was just stupid good.

Pride at the expense of others kills you. There's nothing wrong with truly believing that you have what it takes to perform well, because often times you do. As long as you don't magically believe that everyone sucks but you, it can't be anything but positive.

After all, getting nervous or choking during tourneys is probably THE worst thing that can possibly happen. I know I personally don't choke when I'm confident in myself...

I don't get nervous at tournaments. I just get hyped, even if its a friendly before pools start. But if I lose, i tell myself I suck lolololol

I was so excited for my last tourney...and then I kind of just wanted to go home because I wasn't feeling good. Yet, I really wanted to win at the same time. It felt strange, very strange.

Hey guys...I wish I could see vids of your Marios. The only new Mario vids I've seen are Bo's (who's still amazing imo btw)...I want to see more XD

If I still had my Wii, you guys would be fludded with mine. I'm still super active, just can't go to tourneys nearly as much as I want to.

Matador and others, send me the replay's of your Mario through AIM/MSN, we could still watch them all through our Wii, sure more tedious but not all of us have access too a recorder, plus I haven't seen a lot of your guy's Mario in a long time O_o, and gives me something to do.

If I can get ahold of some of my replays on somebody's Wii, I'll definitely do it.

I was on stream a little while ago that I should've linked to you guys. Next thing I knew, the recording was gone though...

You're confusing arrogance with confidence.

Perhaps, yeah...I think they go hand in hand in a way though...confidence means you think you can win, you believe in yourself.

You believe that you can beat others.

Which means...you believe that you technically are better than others (if you can beat someone, you're obviously better right?)

That's kinda what arrogance is, lmao. Just not nearly as sugar-coated.

Both are super self-destructive if they get out of hand...
