I met Boss at my tourney yesterday and it was sweet. I recorded friendlies with him that will be up soon. I did an epic 0 death combo on him haha, he beat me so many times though.

When Maple Story first released into America... like 5 or 6 years ago? I started it the first day, and I quit after a week, never regretted it xD

As of right now, I'm playing WoW(with my friends.. they play for my monthly subscription xD), and Ragnarok Online.

I used to play Aion as well, might actually start again.

Like I said, my friends PAY for my WoW subscription xD They live in the dorms at my campus, and I hang out there in between my class gaps, that's when I play ^^

Ragnarok Online is fun though.. AND free :D


Smash on the other hand.. Brawl after an hour or two, I'm done.. Melee I can go all day long ^^

i played melee for 3 hrs in training mode just freestyling like lovage berserker statuss while being sick with a headache/toothache/tired/fatigue/eyes burning

after those 3 hrs, i was all better melee = a cure for mankind

You're a Mario main, the most fackeen oresum kind of main on the planet (Carl Clover mains at a close close second...), there's nothing to be ashamed about. Mario's a hard character to win with, lol. Just keep trying and playing to learn...you'll get there.

Hey Caleb, if you want to get better faster then I think you should set goals to beat certain people. Like at your next tournament you could be like "I want to beat that XeroXen guy" and then practice lots and then 3-stock me and then you'll feel way better as a player.

EDIT: Also the people in your pool were pretty good.

Logic and BMX are both pretty good...both MD/VA.

Unless you know the Olimar match-up backwards and forwards...you'll have difficulty beating him.

BMX, I've only played a couple times. He's a pretty good Wario. He trained so hard...

Well this is rather depressing.

To be perfectly honest, this can't really go on. Mario had momentum awhile ago. People were placing in top 8 in 50-100+ tournies. Obviously, something worked for them. To me, it's not the fault of the character if we can't make it out of the pools, it's how we play as Mario in each MU that gives us the perception that we're doing everything right when we could, in fact, be doing something wrong.

Re-evaluate your playstyles, watch videos of yourself, and try out new things. Only then will Mario will be able to get out of this "slump".

Losing shouldn't be seen in such a negative light, especially if you learn from it. The feeling is pretty sucky, I'll whole-heartedly agree with that...but if you're learning from your mistakes and trying something different every tourney, we'll eventually reach where Mario's capable of.

A positive attitude goes a long way.
