attila - as a champ, you're not actually allowed to win. May have to re-evaluate the rules just for you.

zac, S.D and I decided to go gambling after the tourney and S.D bought into poker. he was assigned to a table which RANDOMLY had SAM (Myst) in it. W. T. F. It was the first time Myst Sam even re-entered Crown poker after several months and we didn't know he was there. so omg. We all went gambing again the next day (Bryan as well) and Myst Sam's final hand got him a cool $800 pot, as we were about to leave. He also played BJ with me in which he split a pair of aces and got double black jack -- i think he made over $1K in less than 24 hours, that ****ER

i think we ended up with SD being in the slight negative, myself +$50, and Myst Sam +$1000+

ZXV -- that's pretty sad.

tourney was not quite as hype as I expected, I had to laugh when people kept approaching me and telling me to actually try and beat dekar cause ther sick of him winning xD soz bruz, maybe the bracket will be nicer to me next time. that location was hella bad for me too, 4 hours each way on transport = not a happy soike >_< oh wellz.. plus that sausage roll of death I had on Saturday.. fak.. altho if I had s.d's nachos I probably would have gone to hospital xD


redactyl - cheers for the sponsorship, idk wat happened to kas >_> I'll smak him around when I see him next tho. Tourney was.. yer.. not great but not bad either. It's tough running big tourneys like that especially when wer so spread out. Just need to assert yourself a little more and kick a few arses here and ther. All in all a pass mark tho c:

zxv - soz for being so meh in our matches, would have been fun to have a good go at your sheik but was just too exhausted/sick/brain dead xD bl with gf's in both singles/doubles. Your so close to taking a national bro, just a couple lucky breaks and
your ther c: maybe I should come to Sydney 1 random weekend for a smash sess?

I havent posted about the tournament yet lol.

Anyway I'm glad everyone was happy with the tournament =), I can't take all the credit though. Special thanks to billy for helping me out with pools and the ruleset. Also Dean for assisting me with running the tournament, plus lending me the laptop too ^_^.

And thank you as well for the recording setup too Apollo <3.

I wasn't really happy with my performance this tournament though, seems to be going downhill for me lately. Maybe another time though, when I stop choking lol.

final thoughts: i kept on saying i want to quit smash, but i can't. there's too much to look forward to, even from a spectator's perspective. i hope the scene keeps on living on until i get back. i won't want to return to a TO position of any kind, but i'll find involvement in some other way, hopefully through media -- video production/commentary/photos, stuff that's fun.

Attila - Play melee more, the seatbelt thing will never be mentioned again right?

Redact - I don't think anyone else would have been a TO at your level of efficiency (apart from Cao of course), now to balance running a tourney and placing well.

Jei - Thanks for letting me stay over for the night, congrats on beating me in the bracket and convincing me that I need to try harder lol

Tibs - We did alright in teams, stay Doc in teams though =P. It's strange to have two aggressive players in the one team but it did work sometimes

Cao - I haven't seen you rage at smash before =(, keep in mind that smash isn't just about winning or placing that well you should be happy when you're with friends right? =/

Seatbelt thing was definitely the highlight of my weekend and I'll remember it forever.

And I do play more melee these days, I just don't have time to practice tech...

i never practiced melee anyway. well, not since 2005. you just pick up tech as you play others
