KI.D. the reason for not including high tiers is pretty simple, there's no way I can objectivally measure how much the low tier got carried by the other character.

If you wanted to, you could make people tell you what percentage they went with the low tier the basic formula you can do is something like:

Note: Nothing below is including loses.

1) How many matches won by low tier character / How many matches played

2) the number accumulated from (1) multiplied by 100

You then use your formula to see how many points the character would receive if he/she went 100% of that character. From this point, you can use the percentage from (2) with the amount of points and reduce the points accordingly.

To be honest that's a really contrived way to do it, not to mention some wins matter more than others. The worst part, the real reason I would never use that however is that it relies on word of mouth.

I guess. A win is a win to me. People should be expecting to go into matches winning no matter who the player is. If we cared about what wins mattered more, then that's force you to make even more equations to balance out the extra stuff.

This is going to sound silly, but I'm worried that I'm not reading this correctly. I don't understand where the first three numbers are coming from. Why are the second and third numbers for Sheik so much higher than for PT?

A: 1st of August 2010. It's simply too much work to gather results from the whole year, much less Brawl's entire lifespan. Low tier tournaments are only accounted for after the 5th version of the tier list was released.
