i find link's slow jump makes it difficult to get away from fox via wd or nair oos when he's pillaring and rolling against fox in general is high risk

then again i don't have anything better so sure why not

Ice cream FTW!

My friend's mom used to own the Dairy Queen in the town I used to live in. Free stuff was epic.

unless u wana take the risk of an up-b out of shield, link has no choice
that's why he's generally a bad character to use when fighting fox.
it's hard to avoid good pressure.

when my sheild is getting pressure by shines im scared to Up B, once you miss your Spin you have a high chance loosing your stock or recieve a large amount of damage. I should start scrahing out of my sheild more when getting pressure against shines to see whats the best move oos to deal with shine pressures.

=D im prolly gonna get vids this weekend =D

Just wondering, but if a Fox were to be frame-perfect, would Link (or any character) be able to buffer a roll/do anything?

probably not, since they made everything about link so slow, and everything about fox so fast
i mean, link's the only person who actually ROLLS in his games, they should be longer/faster.

a non-frame perfect fox could easily infinite shine a link

buffering a roll would require ur shield to appear; cant do that if ur in a combo, especially considering link's weak smash DI

Lol, new link guide

1.When fighting fox , wait for combo to end, then run away.
Have pointless attempts at projectile camping, and get murdered by fox approach.
2.Wait for his combo to end again, and run away again.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 and you'll have the best bet at not being 4-stocked.
Oh and theo, check out raynex's fox

Technically if you're in shield and a Fox is multishining you frame perfectly, you could buffer a roll or a spotdodge, but you'd get shined before you became invincible because there would only be one frame where you weren't in shieldstun and the frame after, he shines you again.

i'm told if fox were frame perfect he'd just win (or falco) cause his shine comes out on frame 1 and tends to beat everything, so you could just keep doing that. same with bowser's up-b. so i guess whatever the priority order is for those moves would be the winning order too =P raynex keeps telling me this

Elvenarrow is correct!

Fortunately no Fox can multishine that fast for long enough to do something like that. You can also just light shield and you'd eventually get pushed too far for him to keep JCing shines on you, though if they were good enough to do perfect JC shines they'd just WD over and keep doing it.

Whirling Fortress and Screw Attack for that matter would beat out the shine because they have invincibility frames before the hitboxes, so the shine wouldn't hit them, then the Fox/Falco would get hit.

Hmmm... I would do that if I could record videos and if my Link was anything special. Unfortunately, he's just a mini-Marth at the moment.

I've also been considering a combo video.

One with only tournament footage.

Unless I can't find enough tournament footage.

Then I might have to use something other than tournament footage.

Why bother? Just upload the matches the last time we met in tourny and put music to it x__x
btw I'm going to wreck you in tourny the next time we meet. The chances of us meeting aren't good so I can say things like that and not have to worry about backing them up :bee:

Have one on the boarder of NH and Canada. Mainehampshire would go then, or at least I would.

Edit: If it's a big tourny I'd probably go regardless.
