Sure, I'm up for that. I don't have a mic though, but idk how you guys are communicating. I can just type and stuff. My mic is back in CT, don't have it with me. But yeah, I'm game.

My Skype name is vvv_rapture.

Yeah if Vinnie uploads some of the stuff from yesterday, I'll submit stuff. Game 2 of Will and I's set against Mintyflesh and Cheese was pretty hype. Probably my best game of the tournament, which isn't saying much, but it was exciting.

._. If no one wants to help w/ the MU thread, I'll just wait for the universal MU chart; and use that as a catalyst.

There's not much need to do MU discussions what with the MU chart being worked on right now. If anything, we'll finish the MU discussions later to help newcomer Kirbies, or players with MU problems.

-_____- I've become infinitely better than that video. At that point I still hadn't realized risk/reward, safest option, or anything else that makes players good.

Though I believe that if I had had a better teammate, no offense to her, that we would've won since that team is lulzy bad.

but I wanna Kirb2x first round. then we can do whatever...fox/pit also sounds pretty legit...my arrow accuracy is great...saves from anywhere.

Edit: Uh,...in case anyone wants to see this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJwXBcRnbNM
9B seems like a really patient guy. Masashi was doing all sorts of aerobics and he just stays there looking at him, going all ":|" on his fae, and then just walks away calmly. Pretty scary IC's with all those well-done desynchs too, I can't imagine what he would do to a poor Kirby player. /co-mains_ZSS

Okay, thanks man! I'm looking forward to it.

Also, in edit, I had an idea. The DK boards have this:

http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=273168

It's essentially all of DK's matchups in small, easy-to-read bullet point lists. When I mained DK, these really helped me learn his matchups rather quickly and I think it'd be useful for new Kirbys (me mostly, since I benefited a lot from that one) to use to at least learn the MUs faster or be able to refer to them more quickly.

That's not such a bad idea Rapture. With the MU chart around the corner the MU ratings won't matter much, so all we'd need is the info. Summaries are too long and boring to do, some quick hints actually sound better and easier to do. I might actually start that up myself, it won't take long to get people to lay down what they know as quick tips.

Yeah, I mean when I'm trying to teach myself the MUs, it's a hell of a lot more easier to look at some bullet points that at least remind me what to do against a character rather than reading an essay or two about it.

I'd love to see it happen. You da bess if you make it so.

and I'm in Florida atm doing florida things
Well, next time you're in the area, lemme know. Would be cool to chill and whatnot.

I just wanted to remind people that:

* Fthrow>rising fair>uair at mid %s is legit and inescapable as long as the fair's done fast enough, can't remember the exact %s in which it works since I do them mostly by observation.

* Bthrow>uair is a legit string on some characters up 'til mid-high %s, if they buffered-airdodge past the uair then you have a guaranteed bair on them. However, some characters have bairs fast enough to trade hits with you, like Snake. For other characters, bthrow>bair is legit and inescapable 'til mid %s.

That is all. :D

Oh, and I'm going to take a small scheduled break from Kirby to scrape the rust off of my ZSS. Right now she's a closet counterpick with how I've barely ever used her these last few months, and it doesn't feel like I'm co-maining her what with the attention I haven't given her. :(

So this is the time of year when all the Kirbies start playing other characters?
Must be that high cedar count.

Besiiiiiides, only the not scrub Kirbies are loading up on co-mains and secondaries. (The scrubs still don't realize they need one).

ZSS takes care of that for me. I also think Kirby could use a secondary for Olimar, that little guy is so annoying. Apart from those two, Kirby can totally go solo (if you're good enough :awesome:).

Going to throw another one out there. Since everyone SDI>jumps out of the 0% Fthrow CG after the Uair, do Fthrow>Uair>up angled Ftilt (this steals their jump!)>regrab>Dthrow>Uair (Utilt will not hit, so go Uair or Bair instead)

That being said, I suck, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Wish my Wii's laser would get fixed already so I could practice with Kirby. What are the first things a new Kirby should be practicing?

A first thing a new Kirby should be practicing, is getting the feeling of his rising speed, fall speed, dash, walk, attack speed, attack ranges, how strong each attack is, and what each attack does. Just play around with Kirby doing whatever you want for a bit until you're spacing things well and stringing stuff together, it comes naturally.

If you have the time, you could also start off by reading some (if not all) of this great guide.
