I agree with you and Anaky on the 55/45 in Marth's favor. I've heard people say that it's even, but i don't see what would make it even. I'll def. agree that it's a fun match though

Damn you Shaya.

But my previous chart explains that anything pertaining to you also pertains to smash.

Ugh. Are you going to the Duke Bi Weeklies?

kadaj i am a marth and a pit main (i don't have preferance between the two overall so i don't consider either a secondary. its just which char mood im in) and i was wondering if you personally think Marth or Pit is better vs. Metaknight since well marth can kill easier and doesn't get beat up close as hard as pit does but fails on approach and recovery and pit forces MK to approach and recovers better but gets beat harder up close and can have the harder time killing?

also i was wondering if you think it is okay to be cautiously aggressive and approach in matches where your opponent does not have a good projectile or for that matter any projectile? or if marth should just straight up not approach these characters at all.
Marth can stop tornado Pit cant. well no where near as easily. W/o a tipper or spike pit kills earlier/the same time as marth. But i havent lost to a mk *badlY* on my skill level in a looong time with pit. In fact i win vs most mk's of my skill level with pit. And when i was picking up marth i won with him to. cept it was a little less consistent cuz of gimps. In other words go whoever ur more comfortable with.
I'd say to use Marth vs MK, although if you can perform at levels as good as Masashi can with pit in regards to the mu I'd say go for it. The only real offense that pit could mount up close would be Jab, F smash, grab, angel ring, and d smash.

As far as Marth goes vs characters w/o a projectile, it'd be best to just wait/bait outside of their preferred ranges and punish and or create pressure at safe distances
You forgot dtilt <3 pits has uuber range. very good against grounded mk. and ff retreating fair shield pokes the **** out of mk. but in all honesty jab is one of pits bread and butter moves :)

Kadaj are you moving to florida or sumfin? i've seen postin in alot of FL threads lol.

He's playing Wario again, we only got to play in friendlies and we were both last in crews (3 stocks a piece) and I won

He said he's gonna be practicing wario a lot more now
Yey Reflex is going to give 110% again with a Character that doesn't get eaten.

Smash Question:

I constantly find myself wondering what I can do to improve my gameplay. Wi-Fi isn't the answer, I can't play my Marth there (well duh noone can). Alas, my only local competition that can frequently visit are below average Fox, a Lucas, and a Falco/Mk. What can I do to prepare myself for tournaments when the odds of me getting decent game matchups is against me?

@Kuro maybe I'm still up in the air about it as of right now.

Kola things that you can do on your own to improve would be practicing your spacing, pokes, and various things that work that you would go for while playing in tournament matches. Another thing you guys could do (you and the players you play with on occasion) is to record your replays and send them to someone so they can upload them and you can have them critiqued so that you all can improve. Reading MU threads, and frame data regarding other characters should also help in the long run as well

^ Best throw in a smash question, imo.

Because I don't think there was a NES or SNES smash bros game.

But I'll prob be nice because they aren't stupid questions by Reigun or whats his name person.

NES - Strider, Punch-Out, Battletoads, Castlevania Dracula's Curse, Final Fantasy there's soo many lol

N64 - I say Smash overall because I had a lot of fun playing it with my friends but some others would be Paper Mario :), Goldeneye, all of those wrestling games haha they were just fun, Pokemon stadium 1-2, DK64, Gauntlet, KILLER INSTINCT GOLD!!!!, Tony Hawk PS3, and a lot more just soo many to name

Well the issue is I can get the matches saved on my Wii but, I can't get the sd card to the computer since I can't upload them without a sd port on my laptop. xD

SNES would be 100% worthless without FE4 -.-

On-Topic: Do you play Smash64? Competitively?

I've recently decided that the best way to go even with a Metaknight is to not be knocked off stage..Do you have any advice on what to do in order to stay on stage? Or how to recover when knocked off? Apparently The Lower The Better was not the case yesterday.

So camp the middle?

If I send him offstage will I stay in the middle still? Or go as far as the ledge?

When versing MK I can't rack up damage like I can with other characters, as in the ways I rack up damage not the amount.

Are the specific reliable situations/actions to take to safely rack up damage?

[tryingtoactlikeamarthmain]Try the grab release -> Aerial. That works well for Marth. [/tryingtoactlikeamarthmain]

Here you go, 5 common ways to do good damage to your opponent.

1. Throw opponent's controller.
2. Shake opponent's seat.
3. Yell in someone's ear.
4. Pay a ****** to kick opponent in the shin.
5. Strip naked and sit on opponent's lap.

P.S. If possible, get someone else to do these things. Doing them yourself will get your butt kicked.
