Melee yes, but I'm not too sure about Brawl. Barely anybody mains her anymore. There are probably 5 active Peach mains, and the rest have sadly quit. There are more people who second her like half the players in Arizona, lol.

My previous post meant people who main her in all three games.

I'd like to think there are those that like their char(s) enough to keep using them...

Melee Peach -> Brawl Peach is a good test :(

A lot of people dropped Peach in Brawl because of her many nerfs... but she did gain a lot in other ways! Moves getting stale really affected her too!

Also, why do people think Peach is worse than Ike (from Tier List or Matchup thread)? I'm pretty pessimistic but I don't think she's that bad...

Well yeah I guess now she's a bit unpopular. I should've said I was counting the entirety of brawl. Not too long ago peach was a really popular character.

Yeah and the Peach community was really active until about earlier this year.

Oh well time to start baking like any Peach would... (not)

Jake is definitely dropping Yoshi
Questioning whether or not I will show up assuming the tournament happens on Saturday. Also, questioning whether or not to tank my results for the sole purpose of getting a terrible PR spot, seeing as this is basically the only tournament I've attended recently.

Omg endless salt today but my Peach drive has never been greater!

Nathan, your MK is good! Watch out, I'll figure MK out... so many free gimps I hate it! Stay free Ness... and Marth <3

Landon! I will make sure my controller functions properly at the beginning of our next game! It would totes have been close (if not in my favour! :() otherwise. I'll get you next time :peach: <3

:peach: <3 <3 <3 :peach:

Saturday's going to be really messy... not sure if I'll go. PRs are silly.

Melee players are pigs.

That image will give me the strength I need to get through this hospital admission

Also Dawson, you should have a smashfest at your house while I'm here!

Alright well basically for the next 10 days.

Going to the venue tomorrow.

I work Monday Tuesday Thursday 7-12 PM

Tournament Saturday/Sunday

And will probably be working on the Tuesday of next week.

I'm good for anytime, you might have to leave fairly early on the dates that I work though. Not to mention it would probably be just us two. (Unless someone can go early on a weekday)

The bubble tea place here is so good. And the hours are super weird, 'cause I guess the girl who owns the place has a messed up sleeping schedule.

We could always not have a tournament, or have a Smashfest! I want to play as much MK as I possibly can. I hate and love the matchup!

:peach: <3

I can't believe my little cupcakes that I forgot to add a bunch of important ingredients to were so popular. Definitely channeled that :peach: energy into them <3

Can't wait until I get to move to Vanc.

Having to live in a small town, being as focused as I am on competitive gaming...

It's something I don't think I can explain to most of you, because you'll never experience it, but it's kinda like slow, repeated torture.

Jeremy. I'm super sorry. It looks like I won't be able to make it to the Wreck-It Ralph smashfest =[
I may be able to go to the 24th tournament though.

That'd be cool.

Unfortunately, as for the working hard part... I find it hard to bring myself to work all that hard on anything I don't like//see a purpose to. This is most likely why my grades have been slowly slipping down to like 70% average currently. Not because I can't do the work, but because I really can't be bothered to do Math homework that I'm not going to use in my everyday life over much else.

If University would allow me to prove myself in some way that wasn't a kid-friendly version of waterboarding, I would probably be in 100%.

Unfortunately, they don't, as far as I know. (I mean, sports scholarships, but that's a whole 'nother ball game. Seriously, you're allowed to go to school for being amazing at football, but video games? nah.)

So, we will see.

more academic scholarships are out there than sports scholarships by far, the sports ones just tend to be big bucks if you're really amazing

maybe things are different in the states where sports tend to be a bigger deal, but in Canada for sure academic scholarships are more bountiful

Go to BCIT! The stuff you do there is pretty practical, especially in computing science and engineering! You don't need super good grades, but you will need to work hard. They have a higher job placement rate than both UBC and SFU :).

You don't need scholarships. Maybe if I quit IB, stopped working, quit extracurriculars, table tennis, band, violin, orchestra, and lolMapleStory I could have gotten more scholarships.

Work ethic > scholarships for sure! Maybe not short term, but long term, yes!

SFU has the highest suicide rate

and like lowest satisfaction rate but I mean it's still 70% so that's good

Aw damn =[

Who is still confirmed for this smashfest at my house btw?

I may need to change it to the following weekend depending on a couple of things that may or may not happen.

Who can make it on Saturday, November 3rd vs. Saturday November 10th?

I'd say a decent portion of my friends that are UBC graduates returned to school (ie. BCIT) because they couldn't get a job. Some "threw" away their degrees to pursue something new at BCIT.

As a former student at UBC Science, I kind of know what it's like at both places. I absolutely have no regrets leaving UBC (I got kicked out last month, lol). Oh yeah, I remember T-block telling me his employer primarily looks for BCIT students when hiring <3

Happy 5k posts Kevin.

Man I'm so screwed after graduation. I have NO idea what I want to do with my life. I just know things I'm good at, but not even what I enjoy. :/

You missed my point entirely, though.

I'm not going to work for an academic scholarship if I wouldn't already work that hard in that area normally, outside of school.

What do you mean by practical, and not need to get good grades, but work hard.

If that job placement thing is true, I'll look into going to BCIT. That's all university is, in the end.

What do you do on your free time?
