Okay, so here's the deal with the next couple of events.

1. The next event will take place next weekend. We can either go on the Saturday (the same day as the Melee event) or the Sunday. After a discussion with Daz, this is what we came up with for a workable schedule:

- Brawl doubles will be saved for the end if there's time/interest, much like our side events are for Brawl-only monthlies
- We will start with Brawl singles (at the same time as Melee Doubles), so I will start pools by 1 o'clock. Singles bracket will hopefully start around 3, after the first couple rounds of P:M are played though. We will be trying to thin out the Brawl bracket by the time Melee Singles starts (scheduled for 4)
- I know it's a stretch, but bringing additional TVs will go a LONG way to making this work out well

Alternately, we can run Brawl on Sunday as normal. This means doubles is guaranteed and we don't have to worry about TVs and schedules nearly as much, but no P:M/Melee on the same day, plus anybody who would want to come on both days would have to pay venue fee twice. =[

I NEED OPINIONS

2. Our November monthly will be taking place Nov. 24th. This is confirmed, and Alphicans is making an effort to come on this date. =]

So guys...what'll it be?

I think the overall experience would be better if it was held on the Sunday. It benefits people who only care for Brawl/Melee and it puts a lot less stress on those entering both games, since the change can impact the player. I want to know how all these events will impact friendlies and the such, especially if setups are going to be an issue.

Of course some people can't make Sunday and I respect that. But for everything else personally I'd like 2 days of smash over 1, even if it means the extra 5$

I won't be coming on Sunday. I'll probably be there on Saturday though. But don't worry about me... I missed the last 5 or so tourneys, one more won't kill me :)

The only reason the melee/brawl mix up worked out okay was because of the small attendance you guys had last time. If you have more people showing up having all those events on saturday would be an awful idea.

I'm going to be busy literally all sunday (church till 12 and working till 10 after that) so I would greatly prefer Saturday.

My take on it is that we're going to have really small attendance anyways due to a really late decision on tournament date, so Saturday will at least have Kevin and I. Besides, the people who want it to be Sunday almost always have sunday smashfests anyways so it'll be fine.

Also if we have it Saturday then maybe Bladewise will enter and spice up grand finals

heck I'll bring a TV

also imo 5$ entry for everyone into brawl, not just newcomers. Reasoning: nobody profits from brawl singles anyways so might as well encourage borderliners to enter

I personally think Saturday isn't a good choice just because it'll get really busy. I won't complain if it's on Saturday though.

Most of us have never profited from tournaments (or break even) :p

I'd love to see Peach in Grand Finals!

What on Earth is that?

Also, let's have a new PR every season! It'll motivate everybody (except me).

Remember when we used to play grammar Nazi with SKidd? (Somebody get him back into Brawl!)

As a lazy way to remember (but not always the case), I goes at the beginning of a sentence and me goes at the end.

Examples:

Nobody is going to the venue except for Peach and me. Compare that with: He made that cake for I.

Peach and I are going to the venue. Compare that with: Me am going to make a cake for you.

"I, Landon, Jason, and Nathan(brawl) are showing up at 12."

Me definitely works a lot better. If I listed myself last then that rule would apply.

Stylistically it is appropriate to list yourself last when forming a list, but I'm obviously the most important so I didn't.

Grammatically I'm fine, stylistically I'm not.

But of course I don't conform.

No, "I" going last is just a formality. Your sentence starts off subjective so "me" should never be used.

And Dawson you weren't what inspired me to make that post. <3 <3 <3

Grammatically, no. Stylistically, perhaps. In informal speech, it's acceptable but doesn't agree with any rule.

Sorry Dawson I don't mean to bash at you. It was on my mind during my Finance midterm! Your post just reminded me to post something.

ALSO

Would you guys eat a baking experiment I want to do tomorrow? I was inspired by a trip to Timmy's this early afternoon.

Hey don't worry I learned something here.

I do miss Skidd though, it would be his first year of high school.

Edit: Okay for real this time.

Kevin I will eat anything you ask me to

also let's do a new PR after the next tournament just for kicks. I mean yeah, we don't have a surplus of tournament data, but we do have some data. And also we've been having way more smashfests than usual so I think we have a better feel of who is good these days. Yes I'm totally aware that performances in friendlies mean nothing, but playing people a lot more still helps in determining who is more capable. I mean, if all you had were 10 smashfests with 10 guys each time it'd be easier to rank them from best to worst than if you had 1 tournament with the same 10 guys.

Oh good. I'm just scared it'll be really bad and nobody will eat it...

I brought Moon Cakes to work and nobody even wanted to try them...

I want nothing to do with the PR!

If you have the new Pokemon game, bring it tomorrow!

The amount of people who play Peach in Melee, Brawl, and P:M can be counted on one hand :(

Bring your set-ups because I won't be <3
