landing a down tilted f-tilt puts you in great positioning for a lot of setups. ive been doing all these creative combos with it today. well...on basic brawl noobs, but still, its pretty interesting

The texture hacking "breakthrough" I recently mentioned may not be as great as I made it out to be, so there really isn't that much to be revealed. I've decided to just make an in deapth guide on texture hacking Jigglypuff. It will outline how each PNG that makes up her texture works, and also some neat exploits I came across while working with them.

I was wondering if this is a good idea. Is this something that anyone would want to see, or not?

(I really don't care weather you opt yes or no, because i'm not really excited to share anything.)

Seriously? Really?

D3's back air is sexy and all, but Jigglypuff's b-air is oe of her best moves and one of the best back airs in the game. Replace it with any other back air, even a really good one like Wolf's, and it throws off her whole metagame.
Jigglypuff's Bair is terrible, it's IMO one of the worst in the game actually. It has virtually no duration (requiring precision in comparison to her Fair or other infamous Bairs), it can't string into anything anymore and it lacks KO power. It's only decent and unfortunately one of her only approaches. Luckily it has decent range? At least for Jigglypuff it does. Her moveset overall is just too weak and too slow.

dude, seriously... everything in this god **** game take the most accurate precision... seriously stop complaining and 1. use it only when it's gonna hit and 2. if it's not gonna hit, stay out of their range and don't try to hit with it... seriously... out of everything in this game... and I may be drunk... but seriously... nothing is random... how many times do I gotta say it... only use moves when they're gonna hit... because seriously... you can tell if a move is gonna hit before you use it... think about it... then do it... then get drunk with me :D

Edit: Woody's a pretty cool dude... not being sarcastic... and really meaning that he's a pretty cool dude... who seems pretty much to know what he's doing in the game.

Edit 2: Veril is also pretty sweet... but may not see this... idk really.

Edit 3: and so are other people here... but not everyone... but some of you definitely are... god I'm really drunk aren't I... the answer may be yes.

Obviously this whole post is theory.

In the game, I could easily argure that it's a very good move when you have Jigglypuff's mobility to back it up. It's quick, and helps rack up damage. It would be worse if it was a kill move because it already has just enough knockback to follow up with another; of course it's weak!

It's probobly one of the only good tools Jigglypuff has.

I second Bowyer. People randomly throw out crap and complain about their performance.

Captain Falcon is the best in hacked Brawl (as far as I'm concerned there's nothing "plus" about it). Down throw into knee at almost any percentage on every character.

Dumb hacked brawl has waaaaaaaaaay too much hitstun.

"Hacked" Brawl is too large of a term to use. Which codeset are you talking about?

This cat hasn't played version 6.0 obviously.

It's less hitstun than Melee and Smash64, as far as I'm concerned.

Brawl - is NOTHING like Brawl+. It is INSANELY better and OH SO MUCH more fun. Mostly because crazy things happen and everyone's broken in their own special way. :D

Lets discuss how making sing look cooler with texture hacks may encourage people to use it more.

Lol it's boring! With how broken that entire game is, that match quickly broke down into fair spam. I'd have at least gone for a kamikaze shield break or more rest-canceled roll outs.

Hey I posted that set on youtube if you want to see it. It's a really bad quality, and I keep complaining about missed air dodges throughout the video...

Sorry about that. It was a great set, and once I get mario's f-smash spacing down you're toast ;)

Edit: I have to start using ledge canceled sing more. So epic, but I always forget. I really only use it on Japes under those side platforms.

Don't let the giant hypnotic swirls in that video fool you.

Ledge canceled sing is crap.

Hmm... I wonder who would win IRL, 100ft tall Kirby or 100ft tall Jigglypuff?

I ask this because I had a dream that culminated in the destruction of a nameless city by a massive Kirby and a massive Jigglypuff :)

<3 Maybe I'll have a recurring dream tonight and find out the answer....

100 ft Jiggs. A rest hitting that Kirby would be a sign of 2012.

I just recently started using it again. It's good as a mix-up because no one expects it.
