All in all, I had a fantastic time. Impulse was very enjoyable for me.

I want to give special shoutouts to Neko for housing me the first 2 days, and Swordgard housing me on Sunday. Also special shoutouts to everyone I co-hosted this event with (even though I didn't do all that much. Hey, I asked if anyone needed help with anything!). The venue was very enjoyable and well air conditioned, the attendance was very nice, and everything overall was really good.

With that being said, there was a few downsides to this tourney that are making me rather reluctant to putting effort towards trying to attend local tourneys, reasons I'll prefer to keep to myself.

Now for the shoutouts...

1. Dabuz ($350) - Good stuff winning this tourney. I would've asked to money match you, if I had any money on me. LOL
2. Ally ($175) - ALLEH. It's always a pleasure seeing you. I'd tell you good stuff, but we all know how you do every tourney. I was cookin you game 1 though. LOL
3. Mr. R ($70)- RAMIN WE DIDN'T GET TO HAVE OUR SALTY RUNBACK. ;-; It was one of the many hyped matches for this tourney. Once again, I had no money to money match people. ALWAYS good seeing you, can't wait to see you again @ Apex or WHOBO (If you go).
4. V115 ($35) - SG shoulda beat you, but either way, I'm really impressed with how you played. You've come so far as a player, in such a short amount of time. HOW DO YOU DO IT?? What's the secret? Is it the shampoo you use? Do you wear old spice or something? What's the secret to your recent success?

17. BillyBeeGood - Ggs, had a bad luck of the random stage draw. LOL. Fun games when helping you w/ the Pit matchup too. You're really good, but you make really gutsy/risky decisions too.

25. Chris Fisch - An up and coming star for Southern Ontario scene. Taking 1st in amateur bracket at one of our tourneys, and now making it out of pools? I can't wait to see you do big things, just like V115

doubles - M2K I feel really bad about how I played. I feel like I could've done SO much better. Getting carried like that felt bad. But I can't really blame myself, you're a genius. Thanks for teaching me a bunch of stuff about doubles, I felt like it was a big learning experience for me. I hope Tin gave you all the dubz money, so it wouldn't have been a COMPLETE waste of time.

All in all, I had fun. I didn't get to go on the tour, which was a slight disappointment, felt like I coulda been a class clown like always, and made the experience that much better for everyone, including myself.

1. Dabuz ($350) - THIS GUY RIGHT HERE. YO DDD OLIMAR IS EVEN, I don't need a diagram to prove that one. I swear you better send me that pic of us together cuz ur literally half my height.

3. Mr. R ($70)- You're lucky there's no poutine where ur from or slese you'd spill it everywhere and they would call you glutonny. Some cool Marth gimmicks and the way I see it we both took the same amount of stocks in crews. WEST COAST
4. V115 ($35) - Yo I liked the part where u ***** my snake in dubs for the world to see, not even mad. You will see me soon don't worry.
5. MJG ($21) - This guy just freaking crosses the street when it's red when we're following him to the subway.
5. Swordgard ($21) - / Da bess ICs in Canada, mad jealous but you know what, I enjoyed watching you play and ya got to help me k? I don't care what you say ICs bowser is by no means a good team.
7. HolyNightmare ($14) - This guy is an absolute monster. We will always have that special moment where we talked while you were geting hobbled to 280%. Really cool guy and you stepped it up in crews. almost shed a tear when I heard you watched me vids, almost.
7. ChuDat ($14) - / This guy right here. Those reads u make are phenominal. I enjoyed talking to you the entire trip. I really oughtta go check out some more dollar stores you opened my eyes. I will never forget that transformation you made as well as those Women's rights activists. Good stuff beating me in the ditto. And way to learn the oli mu in like an hour.
9. WilI - I don't even know how to start. Had a lot of fun with ya at this tourney. Way to like wreck ma DDD and also when you beat Mr. R in crew it made me not look so bad. Double Will all day every day. I lol'd at "you're one of those"
9. Stroumbert - // Well you certainly found my kryptonite. That Falcon was mad stylish, way to beat me. Next time I got your number tho.
9. Tin Man - Yo great tourney was definitely lots of fun. You may be seeing me again soon so I'll have another crack at ya. Thanks for the stipend and the tour was awesome. We can hug as much as u want next time and come to BC again.

13. San - The other big guy lol. Yo the way I see it our "set" was friendlies so you got nothing on me. Still that Ike is a wall but ICs Ike aint even get over urself. Really chill dude hope I get to play u again.

17. Croi - The hero of NS. You had a great tourney and way to hold it down in crews. Doubles was the most hype thing I've ever seen. BC > NS tho

Meek, I'm not sure how well it would work for you, but for me? I have the convenience of playing one of the best players in Canada (in the likes of KillLock) quite frequently, keeping me on edge and pointing out my flaws.

Maybe as far as Sonic (or even Pit) goes, consistent play against someone whose better than you will level you up. That's how it's worked for me.

Also real talk to BC, you guys did awesome!

I wish I had such a luxury. The closest thing to a better player that I can play consistently, is called "WiFi". Everyone else lives too far away from me, and everyone that actually DOES live close to me, has no drive to play smash relatively regularly.

While wifi is where I've found all my skill, it's a VERY slow process, and the button delay/frame rate delay can be very annoying to deal with. On the bright side, I can play it whenever, but on the downside...most of the wifi community isn't very good, and wifi is VERY frustrating.

For me despite my placings I actually didnt play the game for months at a time, only at tournments and that really hurt me. For Sonic I think WiFi is a real killer because you need that serious reaction time to properly transfer over offline. My excuse is that I gotta drive 20 minutes at least to get where I need to go to play KillLock.

WiFi keeps you fresh enough though. I have a feelin that without that you wouldn't be as good as you are.

Just because you don't expect it uploads doesn't mean others are. It's up to Toronto to upload all those matches on youtube. Perhaps you should've taken the option to upload matches directly to youtube when a match is done, there's definitely an option on Twitch like that.. but now you guys are stuck uploading them separately, who will do it? Or who's supposed to do it?

also FWIW these delays are nothing to me, i still remember when i had to wait months to watch a blurry set of pc chris's falco vs. ken's marth in 240p that cuts out at the last match...THROUGH TEN MILES OF SNOW

Fixed for you, expect them never since it's up to him lol. Eventually Nick or James or someone helpful will rip the videos from his stream archives and upload them hopefully though.
