I was thinking about it, and I'm pretty sure that there is a spot on the stage where you can cover all of Diddy's ledge options by Usmashing.

Just use uair, it does all the **** that usmash does plus it doesn't suck as an added bonus.

the name of my locked thread then....

/discuss

P4 edit:

if you dont know a matchup, pretend youre playing ice climbers

seriously. youll win

op sais it all

/discuss

but really, i want this thread to be like the ZSS thread where everyone shares a trick or a gimmick. really think of something that you like to do that maybe someone else doesnt know or nobody uses

my trick i stole from m2k

dash off the ledge and uair, and then double jump back on stage landing JUST on the tip of the ledge, if you do it right you can just dash off and uair again

it takes some practice but its a very safe ledge option if you want to stall for a second, and it doesnt take up any LGLs. :lick:

get to work mk boards!

should have been it's own thread IMO

not sure if I agree, it depends on how you play IC's I guess, I just run away...hard. I think this is something I do too much vs other characters as it is, miss a lot of opportunities for more damage and I think a lot of characters can struggle vs a more aggressive MK. I think in general camping the **** out of them works very well vs mid tier and down, which is where you're most likely to encounter characters that you know little to nothing about

Are you crazy?

I've seen videos of your MK and it looks great. You almost beat Ally didn't you?

hes right

for some reason airdodging after air isnt even like an action, but an assumed habit

because its A, obv much safer
and B, cuts uairs landing lag

but good **** kaffei

You can get grabbed out of it pretty easy, so, why is it a good option?
Because an air dodge is more likely to avoid and/or not detonate lasers/grenades/etc. than a Uair and because you shouldn't be jumping onto the stage like that with virtually anything if the opponent is going to grab you.

I told you guys about that Uair thing right after I played with m2k. I made a thread, P4 locked it, and it was moved here.

iirc

Can you pls explain again to me, what exactly are you doing and why?
You jump down the ledge, using UAir and then jumping back on it with an airdodge, so that you don´t waste ledgegrabs while doing it?

Found something while fooling around in training mode;

If you run off the edge and dair as soon as you're off (with c stick, so you auto fast fall), you can SL and it will actually auto snap the ledge, but you can't use a jump after the dair, you have to just do ONLY SL, not jump+SL.

You could use this for edge guarding i guess, if you hit them with the dair it could possibly combo into the SL

I found that out while playing around on the rock formation of PKM1! But are you sure only shuttleloop and not jump? Because there it works if you slam the analog stick up.

Also, I'm going to make a cool MK trick video with some stuff that's probably old. And I'm going to make a thread for it. I feel like this is acceptable and I don't want it to be moved to another thread.

well I have tap jump on and everytime I buffer a jump by accident before the SL, I miss the ledge and glide to the blast zone and die lmao

practice :)

you can do it, youre azn
I know!! It's ez.

Another thing I found in the ditto, but I'm not too sure about.... When you are really high up, MKs will try to SL you. I think Glide attack can beat SL if you time it right, but I need to do more testing.

@P4: That is what I thought, but I never saw any MKs really use it so I didn't really mention it til now

It's just hard to be consistent with, and if you **** up you die lol. That's the main reason people don't use it, there are so many safer options that are just as good.

wtf i know the ditto
Kaffei, I like you, so I feel like I need to help you out with this. This type of post is a perfect example of trollbait. Short, confused, and possibly angry. Gives the perfect opening for more aggravation.

I highly doubt that.
This will be a perfect place to start. Do you see how he's calling you out without providing ANY INFORMATION WHATSOEVER? Rationally speaking, there is no reason to respond to this, and many wouldn't, but trollbait would. One way to not get trolled from here is to simply not reply. For the purpose of this exercise though, I would like you to. Say something back, possibly insulting him, but phrase it in a way showing no personal emotion other than possibly amusement.
