This is why when I plank with my supposedly invulnerable UpB, I still get gimped by ****ing MK mains when they jump off and Dair whilst im in my UpB animation still! I've been saying there is some lack of invincibility frames for a while now but now it is proven! :( :(

****IT GAME AND WATCH U SO BAD </3

no more planking mks anymore for me sob sob sob

Lack of invincibility frame.

One frame.

And a massive sweetspot range.

The whole point of UTDZac's post is that it shouldn't affect you at all because you have so much time to choose what to do and they can almost never react in time.

Most characters would kill for an UpB like that lololol

Vulnerability for one frame yeah, but you see attacks last for longer than one frame hey Conor?

Now I don't know but lets say MKs Dair has 8 frames of hitbox (thats close right? idk) that means they have an 8 frame window, because the hitbox on GaWs UpB outranges very few things (nothing?) and MK just waltzing off the edge and Dairing beats it.

And the point of this thread was I already said there was invincibility lack before it was found out...
ALSO I AM COMPLAINING

Not worth the risk of trying to punish it imo. Unless you're MK >_>

My point exactly lol. I really don't think this matters for many other characters except ones with an airial such as MKs Dair which has range diagonally, low startup but still stays out for say at least 4 frames, and really all you have to do is drop down from the ledge and use Dair with just a little prediction of when I'm going to UpB (hint: a second after my Nair ends coz I'll be at sweetspot range) and because the vincibility frame is towards the end of the UpB, dropping down from the ledge spaces it well enough, from all angles too I'd imagine.

Oh and yes I can wait a little longer after I Nair before I UpB but the fact that I'm even playing this type of mindgame with MK whilst I'm at a now disadvantegous position offstage means that GaWs UpB as a safe and trusty recovery move is already invalidated significantly against MK. Looks like I'll be recovering high more often.

@Conor: Really only was considering the MK matchup anyway. + not the biggest logical fallacy anyway when like it or not the Meta Knight MU plays a significant role in all characters Metagame.

My point was that MK is so good that it's a given that he will be able to defeat most things that other characters do.

Oh well thats cool.

My point was just that there was always hope for Game and Watch, but now it is gone and the MU is going to be noticeably more difficult for me now.

Well it's already been way more difficult, Gary and Earl have been abusing this for ages now without realising what they are doing and I keep telling them they are haxxing my invincibility frames.

But now we know that GaW is haxxing his own invincibility frames just to make sure MK knows he da bess. AT EVERYTHING :embarrass

Please don't compare your Super Armour and incredible vertical recovery range with Lucario's lack of hitbox and range, it's just sad.

Also you don't have Special Fall, gg.

I was going to say limited Super armour, I assumed you would know what I meant, in that you have at least some measure of defense against attacks.

I thought other chars would benefit from the 1 frame of vulnerability more then MK cos of his attacks being so short lasting.

*heavy armour

and lucario sticks to walls and moves in an arch... amazing!
lol Snake recovery = 100 times better then luario's :p mainly cos of the C4. The only thing good about lucarios is that he's so floaty that he can normally just drift back onto stage without much need for his UpB imo.
The wall cling is good as an option on some stages, pretty flashy but unfortunately situational.

Whilst short lasting isn't necessarily a good thing, the short startup and also the fact that walking off the edge Dair straight away with MK hits GaW in his weak moment. Lucario's Dair would probably work too though.

so gary... was i totally right or was i totally right? amirite? I think so.

Heylookit POW block! :pow:

Does anyone realize, even though it lasts a fairly large amount of time, Pit's upB is terribad?

I shiit bricks everytime I'm forced to use it, especially against MK.

Btw this is not me saying Pit's upB is the worst, I would probably vote Jiggs. Also I want attention.

If Sing:

-Could put people to sleep in the air
-Could cancel on the ledge

It would be passable as a somewhat rarely useful move :p Sing planking FTW

lol Jesse... funny you should say that

Coz sing does cancel onto the edge
And it's fairly decent for planking
especially coz it increases your ledge grab range

Sing planking FTW

Yeh it's a better discussion "who has the worst recovering ability" than "who has the worst UpB" because you could be talking about lots of things there and for example Pits jumping ability alone absolutely owns a lot of characters Jumps + UpB.

Worst recovery ability all up is probably Ivysaur or Olimar. Or Link :c

Falco's Up-B is pretty terribad, but recovery in general is 'ok'.

Link's is pretty YUCK.
Olimar's isn't 'so' bad...
