Take flu tablets, drink lots of water and just rest in bed.

There really isnt a cure for the cold, but doing those steps will help you get over the cold quicker imo

Funny I had the flue this morning and now at the end of the day it's basically gone. My nose was runny but now it's not like a leaking tap because I'm a good plumber and fixed it.

I would avoid taking any tablets etc, I don't know about anyone else but they really don't work so well and your better of just drinking heaps of water. Protein and Vitamin C and keep yourself warm.

Also did I mention water? Drink 5 litres of that **** and make sure you pee it all out. Then it should at the end of the day be starting to go away depending on how bad it is.

Honey and Lemon.
teaspoon of honey and a thoroughly squeezed half a lemon (or half-***** squeezed entire lemon) in hot (HOT) water.

Have it when you wake up, before you go to sleep, and after every meal.

If you start this procedure before you get full symptoms it should cure pretty fast.
This is all I do and when I do it I never have a cold for more than 48 hours.

yeah, lemon is vitamin C I think.

whats really happening is that your getting a cold because your immune system is weak because your body is not working properly.

its not working properly because it doesnt have the right tools to work properly.

give it those tools, in this case its plenty of water, plus what attila said, plus vitamin C and ****.

Lemon is definitely Vitamin C.

Lemon is an antiseptic and Honey is a natural antibiotic, which work together to boost your immune system and fight off the bacteria of a cold.

You should be drinking Honey and Lemon right now.

Also
The reason you got the cold so easily was because you are probably unhealthy right now and haven't had sufficient nutrients. For example, having that light night at Phils and not eating lots of healthy food or drinking water to regain your energy probably heavily impacted your immune system, or at least, enough for you to catch a cold.

Lemsip is pretty good.

Also I wash my hands a lot when I have a cold. I don't know if that actually helps but in my mind it does. Stops the spread of germs or something.

It's just a cold - take some panadol, find something to unclog your nose, and keep on going like it never happened. It's not like other people can get sick off you or anything...

Flu does not equal cold. Flu is caused by the influenza virus and cannot be cured in one day Alzi.

Yes you are right, I read the title as Flu somehow.

And realised it can't be fixed in one day as I am sick from school trying to still cure it before Wednesday lol.

But seriously, I eat so much each day and drink so much water anyone know how this sneaky ******* still snuck into me?

you'll be able to one day because of exponential technological growth.

how ****ed up is that?

Sorry if this may sound stupid but is there actually a way to make it not ****?

If I was to guess I would say to eat better and be drinking heaps of water? If this is true then this is basically what I've been doing. But since I started doing this it's the first time it actually hit me this whole year so I guess it's a positive sign in a way.

e_alert the future is a scary thing...

yeah, the problem alzi, is that you might not be eating better even if you think you are.

see, in order for it to not be ****, your body needs all these essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients, which you are supposed to get from fruits and vegtables right.

but farming is mass produced now, and soil is overused and loses all its minerals and nutrients and ****, so they food that grows in that soil ends up wihtout the good stuff in it that its supposed to have.

so you end up thinking your getting what you need, but your not, and thats just how it is in our western world.

you can either grow your own stuff, find some organic place that actually does it right (just because its 'organic' doesnt mean **** though)

OR you can just eat seaweed since it absorbs nearly everything you need from the ocean.

also omega 3, that **** is the win button.

Yeah that is not going to happen anytime soon. The immune system is way to complex to just 'buy' a new one. Organ transplants are hard enough.

Interesting fact, Japanese people have different DNA which allows them to properly extract all the nutrients from seaweed. Everyone else doesn't get nearly the same benefit. It is believed that a bacteria which could properly break down seaweed incorporated itself into the genome of Japanese person/people hundreds of years ago and has been passed down since.

"One day" isn't a timeframe, I didn't say it would be soon. :p

But I think it is more possible than you think. Human brain scanning is currently at a level where we can begin a serious investigation into how it works (and thus reverse-engineer it), we already have models and simulations of a couple dozen regions of the brain. I can only assume the immune system is comparatively simple. It seems plausible that this level of stuff will be available within our lifetime, at least.

Also, I encourage you to read The Singularity is Near by Ray Kurzweil. The premise of the book is a bit fantastical so it should be taken with a grain of salt, but it does bring up a lot of reasonable points about exponential technological growth and its implications.

I understand that technology advances in an exponential fashion. I don't believe however that the reverse engineering of the immune system or the brain will be something we see in our life time. They are both too complex to reverse engineer anytime in the foreseeable future. Although this is not our only option as I think that cloning of organs or growing them from stem cells will be possible within our lifetime. Brain transplants are also a bit of a stretch.

Its probably easier to just man up and ignore the cold than it is to improve your immune system, realistically. I mean, it is only a cold after all, geez.
