*shrugs*

I've been ranked 4th in texas before. Then texas got good lol. I've also won close to 3k from tournaments.

I don't care about rankings in the slightest however. I just want you to MM me.
I've been 4th in NJ since Brawl's release and have remained that well ranked as everyone around me improved because I didn't fall behind. NJ is extremely powerful right now, just like TX. NY/NJ, TX, and SoCal = three best areas by far.

I'll MM you. I only "dodged" it or whatever because I despise fighting your character and I was very tired.

Canada doesn't get considered?

In terms of overall skill? Of course not. Ally is godlike, Holy, KingAce, and a few others are very good, and that's it. It's the same thing with Michigan. A few godlike players doesn't make a whole region solid. NY/NJ, TX, and SoCal have unranked players that are very good and inactives that could come back and ****.

Imagine if Roy_R and Infinity got active again and tried.

Imagine if teh_spamerer and RyokoYaksa started playing again.

Seriously, the unranked/inactives of those three areas would be ranked very well in other places.

Dang, I didn't mean to start this whole thing about seeding. Seeding is mediocre here, we just accept it (it's hard to seed with so many good players floating around). Nothing wrong with playing good opponents. I actually enjoy it. I just think it's funny coincidence that I get Dojo... a lot XD I love my sets with him, even if I lose, b/c they're always nail-bitingly close and mentally exhausting.

This is pretty true, especially the Canada and Michigan comparaison. The thing is that Brawl isn`t that popular here and nor are we that much to play it. Quebec consist of 30 players while Ontario is something around 60. Ontario has better players then we do overall, we only have like 4-5 players who could compete decently in USA in Montreal. That`s not much, while USA could send unranked players close to the ranking list and probably beat our whole region minus the elite 5. But it would be harder if they went to Ontario, they have better unranked players overall.

Who wants to team with me for HOBO 20?

Lee Martin and Dojo are taken...by each other.

I will gladly take UTD Zac, Dphat, UltimateRazer, PhantomX, Gnes... Just someone really good that I feel like I can comfortably take top three with. :)

I think Hobo 19 brackets were seeded poorly simply because I had to play Hyro twice. =P

Winners' bracket
Bye
Defeated Syoueous(sigh-o-tus)
Defeated Hyro
Defeated Bassem
Lost to Gnes

Losers' bracket
Defeated Hyro
Lost to Lee Martin

Other than that I don't really care that much who I play when anymore. If you are good enough then just beat everyone and take 1st.

Also, I need to make a teammate list for Hobo 20. No idea who's next on my list atm.

I dont really have a problem with seeding or anything and Texas TOs are amazing and stuff but the Smoom vs Kates while UTD zac vs hyro thing was actually pretty bad but at ozzfest 3 bracket (xyro made), Hylian vs Gnes and Popertop vs Kown were right next to each other, also messed up, but mistakes happen, accept it and get over it and move on.

The best thing is to realize the mistakes and try to prevent them in the future, not just move on and get over them.

Dang, pointing out UTDZac's errors? That's ban worthy!

Also, if you guys want to play with Roy, let him know by calling him. He's been wanting to play despite his lack of activity on the boards...and he wants practice for Hobo 19. :)

Unfortunately, I live in a gated community. To get in the gate, you need to go to the terminal in the left lane and type #024. That'll call me and I can let you through.

Parking: There's definately room on the street and in the driveway.

If you have any trouble with directions, gate, or anything else, just call me at 281-347-8248. It's my home so ask for David.

PLEASE BRING SETUPS

I have two TVs, and one Wii right now. We need more if this wants to go successfully.

Smoom: 2 TVs, 1 Wii
Ozz: TV, Wii
Xyro: Wii

Oh and, no staying over night, haha. I'm out of the house at 7:30am.

Inui, I feel a very strong relationship developing here.

We can try to team a few matches at HOBO against a good team, but if your too clashy with me then I'm sorry, but it won't work out.

Sshhh...didn't Inui lose a MM to Ruddy, an unranked fox player at WHOBO? =O

All his arguments become invalid =D
Didn't you write some big post flaming me about how I'm a horrible human being unworthy of life or something?

I hope you stay at DugFinn's house again. :)

I believe everyone has posted some sort of flame in your direction even randoms. But, as far as it goes I don't see what the big problem is with you. So you have alittle too much confidence and you don't like Snake. But, hey I don't like Metaknight. Plus I think Dugfinn's A/C is out so I don't think we will be staying there :(.

Overall placing: 5/70

Sorry, but 4th in SoCal after getting 2nd in doubles shouldn't have to go through that to get 5th and they shouldn't fight a top 3 seed that early. All of his wins in losers prove he was seeded incorrectly.
It was WHOBO, 5th SHOULD have been that hard to get to.

Also,

Roy was extremely rusty that tournament, and he really didn't seem to be performing that well. I saw his matches vs Tyrant and they weren't good at all. MK vs Marth, c'mon.

And doubles seeding shouldn't be considered in singles.

Yes, but Tyrant should have been 4th/5th seed overall at the whole event, fighting like...Lee Martin or Dojo in quarters, not before that.

And doubles seeding shouldn't be considered in singles.
Someone that gets 2nd in doubles at such an extremely hard tournament shouldn't be seeded poorly in singles. They are obviously good.

I'm not trolling or anything, just curious, but wasn't it you that said doubles and singles are two completely different parts of the game, and being good in singles doesn't make you good in doubles? So if that's the case, why should bracket placement carry over?

No. Brawl is Brawl. 2nd place in doubles at such a hard tournament obviously implies great talent and skill at Brawl.
