Well it was one of the only brawl videos that I can remember off the top of my head since it was so ****ing sexy!

And the other video I remember that made me LOLOL just as much or more...was the one of Hylian in a teams match on Yoshi's Island when he kept trying to kill that Toon Link and got Dsmashed to death what...4 times or so? In about 30 seconds or less xD

Anti..MM melee? Tournament style? 5-40$?
since you FRESH from melee, i recommend marth/peach/shiek to start off with. They will help you transfer over from melee. If you just want to jump right into brawl, who do u like?

Being a sheik player since melee came out there is no way I could ever get used to playing as a snake. I've tried and I hate his speed, and don't really care for his move set. But that's just me.

@zori that is one sexy olimar ;)

@kingdom come you must be on crack if you think ivysaur is the best, if squirtle was by himself he would probably be the top of mid tier, the other two hold him back.

@player 4 : hey everyone has their player whether it be jigglypuff or in his case ivysaur. To each their own I always say. With that said, I totally agree with you. I think the other 2 are terrible

i agree, to each his own (i say that all the time too :) lol), but there is a difference in saying "ivysaur is my best" and "ivysaur is the best".

@player 4: point taken. I guess so far its been proven that is totally untrue unless he can prove us all wrong. All I know is I'm not going down to an ivysaur player. But what do I know? There are a lot of talented players that take on characters you wouldn't expect. But I guess that happens less and less now with the advent of MK

I never see anybody play with Wolf's aerials, Bowser doesn't have the what's good aerials either imo.
How could you say Wolfs rarely use Areals when Wolf is known for his Bair? It's true that Wolf has a better ground game, but he has fast air speed and a great Bair and Fair. His areals are what he uses to space away from grabs, and since Wolf gets chain grabbed by so many characters, it's crucial for him.

And Bowser has a good air game too. It sounds odd saying that, but his areals have great range and power, are fast (with the exception of his Uair) and he has great air speed. His Fair and Bair are also great for gimping.

From what I've seen, Zelda and Ice Climbers tend to be two of the most ground-based characters in the game (I could be wrong though).

Edit: Oh yeah, in case this post somehow sounded rude and like I'm trying to start an arguement, I'm not. Wolf and Bowser just happen to be two of my most-used characters so I know quite a bit about them.

I agree with you sonic besides having decent aerials (bowser and wolf) they are actually really effective as well. With the exception of bowsers Uair as you stated. And zelda I think can be played aerial to but not to the extent that sheik can. Her Fair is pretty affective if you can land it just right. Her Uair is a good juggle move as well

Edit: I take back what I said about zelda. I believe she can become more of an aerial player after she has built up her opponents %. And her aerial moves are good finishers

Eh, I have never seen them been played with and those are the few chars I don't play with so you're probably right.

@P4 I clearly said my best is Ivysaur, and he is the best IMO. I never said he is the best AND IT'S A FACT! I simply stated, that he was my favorite.

Ivysaur is a little underrated IMO, if they could find a way to get rid of the crap recovery he would be a monster when it comes to this. His razor leaf is crazy, it cancels out every projectile and goes through stuff. It can be used to rush campers and people spamming. It is also a life saver when you get off the ledge.

Squirtle is good too, he is just a little strange for me. I don't play with tap jump on, so I am not gonna try and learn the shellshifting to Usmash. Which is as RT said "ATs in Brawl? LOL. That's funny...there's like a couple of useful one" This is one of them.

God, Snake is too slow xD

O and Hylian I already saw that video (LOLwut?) It was actually from a melee player that I found that video. His name is Reaper I think he was the Robot. He plays Dr. Mario in Melee so his combo video had that brawl link next to it lol I liked that one...mainly because of the music though.

FlipHop...that was sexy lol more reason for Diddy

Allan, I didn't jump straight in lol I play this game every now and then so it's not like I am 100% clueless...there are just those tricks I don't know about yet. Like in melee...I still don't know them xD

But yeah Marth and Diddy seem like a nice choice. And I might go Kirby too lol he is cute...

Ivysaur imo sucks compared to the other Pokemon since Charizard has that beast fair he can space with and Squirtle has all that speed and maneuverability. Ivysaur had no real attacks that made him a solid character to me. Then again I am not like the best...but I don't think you had to be that good to tell whether or not a character has possibility especially someone who has played so many fighting games.

SMOOMFEST

Date: Saturday, August 15th.
Time: 11am-3pm. (Sorry, couldn't get anything else)
Just a small get-together at Smoom's house. My address is:
4310 Candlewood Park Ln, Katy, TX 77494

Again, this is a small smashfest. I can only have 5 people. I don't know if 5 people want to come, but I'll have a small list.

1. KRD (GC/Melee)
2. P4 (Wii/Brawl)
3.
4.
5.

I have two TVs/one projector and screen. The projector lags the game so I'm not sure if anyone wants to play on it. Anyone that comes, bring a Wii/Brawl. I don't think we'll need another TV, but bring it if it's not too much trouble. So far, one TV will have Melee, and one will have Brawl.
And there's plenty of parking room.

My community is gated (really obnoxious >_>), and to get in you have to type in #024 at the gate terminal. It'll call me and I'll let you in.

Any questions guys? If you have direction problems, or gate problems, just call me at 281-347-8248.

Ivy is best out of the 3. He is also a good projectile user counter like snake and toon link.

Charizard is just the one you have to be most random with (Rock Smash FTW)

And Sakurai made Squirtle a flying-type.
good game >_>

as to the zelda topic

her u-air is ****, idk how you would juggle with it? it can kill at like 80%
and her fair and bair = falcon knee (just not as epic)
dair spikes
i don't really know about her nair. but he air game is good. i would be afraid of a good zelda but no one uses her.

@p4: I guess juggle is the wrong word but if u got good timing then you can keep them up in the air and time it right you can own. And sadly she isn't used a lot. I don't even use her like I should. Her Nair is a pretty good combo starter from the times I've used her.

Uh oh, be prepared for some running away 64 style!

Hmm, I would go to Smoomfest, but the usual ride problem is holding me back.

I convinced my friends to play B+ with me, I didn't use any of my mains. All I used was MK, Falcon and Jiggz. Pretty much tried to spam dair(MK), Knee and rest. Pretty much won everyone, haha.

So yeah, anyone want to play some B+ wifi now?

If you didn't live so far away I would play xD

I don't mind that game as much. Squirtle is super boss is that game.

Yeah, I need to get used to the N64 controller again too lol although since it was pretty much my first game console it has been like entombed within my head for all eternity.

Another random question. I always seem to have one.

I just got paid for a REALLY long petsitting job. Now I have ~$220. I don't know what I want to do! My thoughts so far are...

-DSi + Pokemon Platinum
-Save up for Xbox360+ Halo 3.
-Use it to sell my 1G iTouch and buy a 2G iTouch.
-Just save it up for something else.

My wants for them are in order.

You shouldn't ever over commit to an action, saving the money leaves you with the most options to work with.

That is obviously the best course of action.

Well it definitely makes me feel more seniorly because the 64 was like the 4th system I ever owned lol its all good though we all have similar interests
I've never even owned an N64 :( Though that's also partly because everyone I knew had one so I had no reason to get one. The main game I ever played on it was Super Smash Bros. and that's boring to play alone.

I seem to be the only person I know that still has the SNES as their favorite game system. It had so many fun games!

Dsi+pokemon= Could be a lot fun, DS's are a great thing to have
Xbox360 +Halo3= if i were you i would Not do this, better options available
Itouch- unless your just dying for the extra G i wouldn't do it
Just save it- Probably the best course of action. You will have money to go to tourneys! and not be broke.

Smoom, I'd say either getting the DSi or saving it. 220 probably isn't enough for a 360 and a game, unless you're getting used, which I'd stay away from. And iTouch? If you're gonna get something like that, get the classic model, iTouch = waste of money IMO.

Saving it would be good, in case later there's something you really want and you're like daaaaamn I'm glad I saved that 220. But a DSi would also be a quite good investment.

Honestly I'd go for one of the two systems, then all those gaming possibilities open up for you. But I'm a sucker for getting new systems so maybe I'm a bit biased. I'd save a little longer and get a ps3. Have you seen GoW 3? Two words bad a$$

I think I'm gonna just save my money until I can get DSi+Platinum+HeartGold+SoulSilver. I'm getting both!
