Wow, some of you are ****ing hysterical.......
Anyways, don't buy the 360 or the PS3. Unless you really like sports and shooters, then you have almost nothing to buy on either system. What does the 360 have that isn't a shooter or sports game? They have like one game, Mass Effect.
The PS3 is the same thing but more expensive, and the shooters and sports games aren't as good. Granted, you do have God of War and Metal Gear. Can you honestly name something else off the top of your head?
The DS, you will has Pokemon, Zelda, Kirby, Metroid, and then whatever game rocks your boat pretty much.
I say, the Wii (even though most of us here have one already) is the best investment out of the Playstation, Xbox, and the Wii. You have Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, All the Mario Party/Sports games, Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 4/Umbrella Chronicles, Etc. I could name more but I think someone is gonna ***** at me for saying the Wii is best.
BTW Grand Theft Auto and Godfather don't count because you can get that on either the PS3 or Xbox. I was talking console specific.

They only have better quality games in the minds of Nintendo fans. 360/PS3 fans think Nintendo games suck.

Yeah, I saw it at E3 (it was at E3, right?). But I was downtrodden when it wasn't online. >_> That completely KILLS it for me. I pretty much need wifi to play a game.
@Champ, look at my last sentence. That's one reason I actually wanted 360+Halo 3. Ossim wifi. It works PERFECT!!!

Yeah it was at E3. And I know what u mean luckily I have some friends that will want to play it. Did you see the new metroid :the other m? Not quite sure if it will be a good game. Team ninja I know is heading the project but to me it doesnt look anywhere as good as the ones retro has made
I never really got into Metroid, but I heard it's tons of fun to speedrun, haha. I don't think I'm gonna get it cause I've never really grown up with it.
For Mario Galaxy, I really disliked that game. I bought it, played it for like an hour then sold it the next week. I'm never playing that again. >_> I felt disorientated when on the planets.

Man, soon as my money comes in I'm gonna buy Super Metroid, I haven't gotten a chance to play the Prime games either.

@smoom and kingdom: if you haven't played through the prime games you really should one of the best platformer/shooters/exploration games I've ever played. A lot to explore. If you both have a wii then there is a prime trilogy releasing this year in the fall (unless the release date got pushed back) I know I'm going to get it since all the controls will be revamped on the first 2 games so you can use the wiimote

EDIT: and I hope that she doesn't have a commanding officer. That would be really dumb. She was a bounty hunter in all the other games so if she was somehow all of a sudden military then I'd be disappointed. Like I said I already am not impressed with how it looks. But ill still give it a fair shot.

What is the DSi? Is that any different from the regular DS?
Yeah I never thought that was cool they should have made the operations of the wii gc controller compatable better yet they should have made it like the ds and given you the option to boot up the games automatically so you don't always start on the wii chanel screen

Never heard of it. But I'd like it so when I'm playing smash I don't have to take out my wiimote to get it started. I really need to get my wii online
Edit: I wish I could get past the security settings for the wifi. In my apartments I pick up 3 different signals constantly. Wish there was a way to hack the signal or something so I could connect that way

OTHER M is a game that will EXPLAIN a little more about samus's past and her previous CO named Adam ( http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/metroid/images/6/6e/Adammalkovich.jpg ). If you played the horrible game(story wise) METROID FUSION and read the metroid manga, it will help you understand a bit more. So pretty much, OTHER M ties METROID FUSION in with SUPER METROID.

Other M was hinted at in the original METROID yet no one thought about it untill now.
If you are wanting to jump into the metroid series, i recommend starting with the PRIME series. The METROID PRIME trilogy was released or will be released soon. Prime 1 and 2' controls are now like metroid primes 3's controls. WHICH IS SIMPLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
i cant operate a 360 or ps3 without its controler. I also cant control my SNES without it controler.

get the metroid prime games!!!!!!!!!! they are shooters but not really!!!!!! Not to mention, there is a **** load of awesome ambient(sp?) music in this game. SPACE PIRATES and a massive purple dragon! You also get to see samus NAKED!!!!!

Edit: the prime games are 3d platformers and exploration games at their best not to mention solid shooters. But its not the same as other shooters at all. And yes the music is great

The pic i showed? Its the ORIGINAL metroid game. it was named METROID! Its the FIRST time a HERO character was actually a FEMALE. Samus is considered "the lady of gaming"
i highly recommend you do not START with the original metroid(its difficulty and boring *** stages turn people off). Start with SUPER METROID or the PRIME SERIES.
yea but i was pointing out that PRIME SERIES is a good game for people who arnt hardcore shooter fans but wanna taste some shooter every once in a while.
