but see, i HATE throwing that around: "its my events, i do what i want". I would rather people say " i disagree but it doesnt effect me so whatever" or "oh man i LOVE that idea" or " your poop" or just not say anything at all.
but seriously, i really hate saying "its my event, i do what i want" because i feel like you people dont get any say so but then again if i do what most of the general public wants, the scene would be absolutely horrible.
but you DO do that in the end.
Planking = non-issue
Stalling.... it's a part of the game, and planking is the simplest thing I've ever see in any fighting game whatsoever.
Ya know they had the same thing in Melee but just harder to do consistently (Shiek Up+B stall, Gannon infinite stall, Zelda infinite stall). Well it was easier to counter but still about the same.
Skill involved or not, it's the same thing, and even though people can master it in Melee, it didn't become a rampant problem, so I really can't see why it will become a huge deal in Brawl. Besides it's built into the game and not even a real exploit IMO of anything.
The 70 limit rule, like the post above me said, won't mean anything if I just wait until the end of the match to stall. Or do 69 regrabs.
Stalling happens, and most attempts to ban it end up being arbitrary. When it's easily identifiable (MK cape glitch, peach bomber) that's easy to ban, and understandably so, being that it really doesn't have a counter and can force you to lose a stock.
You need to stop getting upset over every single issue that comes up in the Brawl metagame. So far there really hasn't anything major in my eyes save maybe DDD's infinite but I haven't even bothered to ban that, and no one cried to about it.
Don't let personal philosophy govern your ruleset. I use the best players around to make a good ruleset, and in the end I probably get the fewest complaints about my rules of any TO in Texas.
