Public Domain Hero Shooter
Despite the timing, this is not (fully) a Marvel Rivals "cashgrab" I've had this idea for about 2 years now, has a lore background and everything I'm working on, though I won't go into detail here, only mentioning lore decisions if it reflects on gameplay or is just funny. Characters aren't directly lifted from the source material and are changed however I see fit.
I have a lot of characters for this project, but I'll only mention the launch roster I have in mind, 4 characters for each class, might do more seasons later if the reception is good, might even reveal some more of the lore if asked.
Anyways, there's 5 classes, let's start.
Assassins
Your standard attacker class, either from ranged vantages or up close!
- Snow White - Fairest of them all, wielder of Excalibur, daughter of Morgan Le Fey. Your standard swordfighter.
- Van Helsing - Monster Hunting Gunslinger, Dracula's arch-rival. Your standard ranged fighter, with a few tricks in his sleeves.
- Uncle Sam - The president of the game's USA equivalent (No real countries exist in the lore). Fights with boxing skills and guns.
- Cupid - In-universe he's literally just a Pit knockoff because I think it's humorous. A sniper.
Tanks
Big bulky characters.
Santa Claus - Has some support elements.
Humpty Dumpty - A giant cannon automaton shaped like an egg.
Bigfoot - I don't think I need to say anything here.
Pete - The big cat-bear guy. Has a move where he spits chewing tobacco at opponents.
Supports
Characters that help in battle without directly fighting.
Victor Frankenstein - Uses lightning to overcharge and heal allies.
Sherlock Holmes - Uses investigation powers to discover the opponents' secrets and find other things.
Big Bad Wolf - I associate the wind with healing and stuff in general.
Mrs. Claus - Not only heals but can summon gingerbread men that help everyone.
Mages
Magic users with wilder abilities.
- Morgan Le Fey - The standard "default" mage. Also the main villain alongside the next character.
- Dracula - Moustached Menace. Shapeshifts and summons dark forces.
- Tooth Fairy - Teeth powers. Will not elaborate.
- Grim Reaper - Actually a pretty good guy.
Troublemakers
Class of characters that are typically small and fast and can wall jump like Mario.
Mickey Mouse - Self Explanatory.
Gremlin - Can tamper with others abilities.
Red Riding Hood - Baba Yaga's granddaughter.
Easter Bunny - Can do the propeller thing with his ears.
