Disney Roster but Disney Gave Me The Assigned Moana 2 Budget After They Turned the No-Budget Moana Disney+ Show into Moana 2
202 characters because Uncle Walt's frozen ghost personally told me he wanted a Smash Killer. Live action characters can be included, including fictionalised real people (with exceptions made for stuff like Pocahontas that was uhh, not done very well for lack of a better word), but charaters with no visible faces are prioritised, and I chose not to go for Pirates movie characters because 1. Depp, and 2. I would prefer to use the ride. Acquisitions are minimized, with Star Wars and Marvel getting 1 rep each, both villains and intended for a story mode or sole/final unlockable role - but there's a good few Muppets and some minor Fox representation, but nothing dissonant like Simpsons or Alien (though two of the Fox properties repped are quite obscure and appear to have been forgotten or disowned by Disney). Note when reading: film names are used to represent entire franchises (so Don Karnage is under Jungle Book for example). I tried to go out of my way to make Muppets my Fire Emblem but didn't end up with as many viable picks as expected - ultimately it ended up being The Incredibles by accident. I tried very hard to refrain from meme-y stuff (characters from Rolie Polie Olie, Shnookums and Meat, and Crash & Bernstein all almost made it.) but I still ended up adding two Chicken Little reps. This would be a game designed for casual play first and foremost, if the stupid roster number didn't give that away. Also there's 3 Donalds.
  1. Mickey Mouse (Core universe)
  2. Minnie Mouse
  3. Donald Duck

I set out with the goal of making a huge 50 character roster based on a bunch of characters or people Sega had the license to at one point in their history and made or published a game with them in it. I ended up with an absolutely horrible concoction which even ballooned into 75 characters. I present to you hell, Sega License Battle Royale:
  1. The Fonz (Happy Days)
  2. Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star)
  3. Raoh (Fist of the North Star)

I stole Janx_uwu Janx_uwu 's idea and made a fighting game roster with all characters I really like and could have a coherent moveset in a fighting game. It will be VERY biased towards video games though.
  1. Superman (DC)
  2. Mario & Luigi (Mario, look it had to be both in one slot or neither of them because I like their dynamic together, its my roster!)
  3. Donkey Kong (Mario)
  4. Daisy (Mario)
  5. Wario (Mario)
  6. Alucard (Castlevania)
  7. Solid Snake (Metal Gear)
  8. Otacon (Metal Gear)
  9. Jotaro Kujo (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
  10. Terry Bogard (Fatal Fury)
  11. King (Art of Fighting)
  12. Hsien-Ko (Darkstalkers)
  13. Marshall Law (Tekken)
  14. Lili de Rochefort (Tekken)
  15. Sakura Kasugano (Street Fighter)
  16. Gilgamesh (Final Fantasy)
  17. Aerith Gainsborough (Final Fantasy)
  18. Frog (Chrono Trigger)
  19. Gol D. Roger (One Piece)
  20. Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)
  21. Nami (One Piece)
  22. Usopp (One Piece)
  23. Phoenix Wright (Ace Attorney)
  24. Miles Edgeworth (Ace Attorney)
  25. Kazuma Kiryu (Yakuza)
  26. Ichiban Kasuga (Yakuza)

Neat concept! Woulda partnered Mario with Cappy personally, but I love a lot of these picks.
Should've responded to this quite long ago, but I've always had a hard time imagining Cappy sized up to the point where he could drive a car, as at that point he wouldn't be wearable - probably just a me thing and not grounded in any kind of rationality though. I probably struggled with Mario the most since I didn't want him to be partnered with a particularly surprising or obscure character, but every character who doesn't fall into either those two camps or is a mook/villain has already been in - Penguin was kinda the most "generic + iconic" character I could get. FLUDD was almost added, but while I could imagine a driving FLUDD, I did somewhat worry that someone reading this roster would imagine the belt-bound FLUDD and not get it - though I ultimate like Penguin better.

Also I just realised that I forgot Topper, so uhh... bye bye Bowser Gargoyle. Sorry.

Fair enough, but this roster also has Goomba (a based pick in it own right), so I could adopt some plasuible deniability.

Bored as hell right now, so I'mma do my own take on WaWaWa's "every racer in MK8D gets a new partner" roster. I'm going to extend it to every non-costume first-party character series-wide, though - Less because I think MK should be a EIH series and moreso for the extra challenge.

A while ago I famously made an award winning Sonic & Sega roster where I made each character into teams of three like KoF. So, I decided to do the same for a Mario Kart sequel, Mario Kart: Triple Dash I guess!

I'm envisioning this game as having a sort of story mode like the GB Mario sports games too, pretty unrealistic but something unique would be fun for the Mario Kart series after 8. That's mostly because the stories would have an in-universe way of being created for some kind of tournament. This is kinda semi-realistic and semi-just a fun challenge for myself.

Team Mario Bros.
  1. Mario
  2. Luigi
  3. Yoshi
Team Princesses
  1. Peach
  2. Daisy
  3. Rosalina
Team Mushroom Kingdom
  1. Toad
  2. Toadette
  3. Goomba
Team Bowser
  1. Bowser
  2. Petey Piranha Plant
  3. Kamek
Bowser Jr’s Big Team
  1. Bowser Jr.
  2. Koopa Troopa
  3. Cheep Cheep
Team DK
  1. Donkey Kong
  2. Diddy Kong
  3. King K. Rool (I specifically chose him over a Kong for variety's sake tbh)
Team Tot
  1. Baby Mario
  2. Baby Luigi
  3. Baby Peach
Team Wario
  1. Wario
  2. Waluigi
  3. Ashley (I am trying to limit spin-off characters who aren't usually in these kinda things but there will be some exceptions)
Team Subcon
  1. Birdo
  2. Shy Guy
  3. Ninji
Team Metro
  1. Pauline
  2. Spike
  3. Mona Pizza

Alternatively a DDR Disney 2 songlist if you want to stick to a gaming theme. 30 songs, matching the non-stop megamix. Tried to avoid anything super on the niche side (licensed games, non-movie-related TV shows) and acquisitions, while still getting cuts just about deep enough. Intentional but reserved bias to the two renaissances. Bold is songs I can't believe they somehow didn't have on the original albums???? Impacts nothing about the imaginary album itself. Ordering is franchise-based and not when they'd be in the album, apart from the last one which kinda had to be last lmao.
  1. Nothing Can Stop Us Now (from Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway)
  2. Hot Dog Song (from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)
  3. Nobody Else But You (from A Goofy Movie)
  4. Watch Out For Goofy (from Mickey Mouse Disco)
  5. DuckTales theme (from DuckTales (1987))
  6. Let it Go (from Frozen)
  7. Do You Want to Build a Snowman (from Frozen)
  8. Lost in the Woods (from Frozen 2)
  9. How Far I'll Go (from Moana)
  10. Shiny (from Moana)
  11. You're Welcome (from Moana)
  12. Surface Pressure (from Encanto)
  13. Sugar Rush (from Wreck-It Ralph)
  14. Nobody Like You (from Turning Red)
  15. What a Shame (from The Lady and the Tramp (2019)) sorry i thought it was obligatory to have at least one song from these hellmovies. This was the one I thought sounded easiest to convert... as someone who doesn't know anything about music
  16. Down to Earth (from Wall-E)
  17. If I Didn't Have You (from Monsters, Inc.)
  18. I'll Make a Man Out of You (from Mulan)
  19. Strange Things (from Toy Story)
  20. Woody's Roundup (from Toy Story 2)
  21. What's This? (from The Nightmare Before Christmas)
  22. The Bare Necessities (from The Jungle Book)
  23. Friend Like Me (from Aladdin)
  24. Be Prepared (from The Lion King)
  25. I Just Can't Wait To Be King (from The Lion King)
  26. New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh theme (from The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh)
  27. Simple & Clean (from Kingdom Hearts)
  28. Lava (from Lava)
  29. Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (from The Carousel of Progress)
  30. The Rainbow Connection (from The Muppet Movie (1979))
Honourable mentions to both Powerline songs from Goofy Movie, which felt a little too... would obvious be the word? Plus I felt Nobody Else But You had more of a timeless quality than the overtly 90s 90s-ness of the rest of Goofy Movie that made the cover seem like more of a transformation, (plus makes a good contrast with the other Goofy song being unapologetically 70s) and fit well both with the album series' track record of bumping up somber tracks and the original scene being on a broken down car. I am also aware that the Muppets don't have a particularly noticable Japanese footprint, but... it's Rainbow Connection. How else are you supposed to end it.

I would've commented on this sooner, but I wanted to check the track lists on the previous three albums for context. After comparing those sets with this lineup, I do have some things to say:
  • Adding plenty of 2010s Disney tracks and Pixar offerings makes total sense to include, as most of the 20th century music has already been transformed. Some songs more than once. Let It Go, You're Welcome, Sugar Rush, Nobody Like You, Down to Earth, and yes, even What A Shame, are must-haves, if only to represent their movies in the modern age.
  • The Mickey and Friends crop does make good use of the past 25+ years, with representation given to the Paul Rudish shorts, the preschool era, DuckTales, Goof Troop, and even a return to Mickey Mouse Disco. Considering what they pulled for Albums 2 and 3, this feels like a return to basics.
  • I Just Can't Wait To Be King, The Bare Necessities, Friend Like Me, and I'll Make a Man Out of You. Yes, why DID they skip those songs?
  • However, If I Didn't Have You would've been too new, as the film didn't even come out when the third album was released. Nowadays? No excuse.
  • Unfortunately, I would've cut one of the Moana songs from the rotation. It's nothing against the film's soundtrack, but each CD had a two-song max limit for each movie, counting sequels as individual films. Three songs given to Moana would've been a case of favoritism. The problem is which song to cut. Hell if I know.
  • On a more positive note, seeing the New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh theme make it in this list made my inner child so happy. As did seeing Simple and Clean & Rainbow Connection make current me smile at their inclusion.
In short, I would purchase this soundtrack in one fifth of a heartbeat.

I wasn't really paying attention to patterns, I moreso listened to a lot of the songs, then ctrl-f'd the Disney Wiki list while brainstorming to figure out:
1. what songs didn't they do (if work was created/acquired before 2002)
2. what songs do I think would sound good in this style
While also trying to pick up the modern pieces, though I can totally understand the complaint about having 3 Moana songs (same for Frozen), I haven't listened to any of the released Moana "sequel" songs yet. (plus I think the increase in tracks compared to the non-Megamix albums justifies a bit more favouritism, I'm also pretty sure I gave the Mickey universe more favouritism than any of the actual albums, but I could be wrong on that since I didn't actually read the lists in full, I selectively ctrl-f'd certain songs to figure out what was taken, at the very least I did cut Oswald's theme or Steamboat Bill because I didn't want too much Mickey (even though Disney officially considers Oswald his own seperate universe)) - I did really want an Inside Out song, but I wanted everything to be vocal and (unless there's something in 2 since I haven't seen it) the only option was either Triple-Dent Gum or Bing Bong's Song, both being really short (even if the latter is somewhat thematically fitting for Eurobeat with the wheels and rainbows and e.t.c.) (in general Pixar doesn't have a lot of vocal music... does the "Dododododododos" in the Knick Knack theme count?)

Appreciate the praise either way!

If anything, the lack of attention to patterns makes the song list look better than at first glance, considering the songs you picked regardless. Fun fact: They made a whole Winnie the Pooh Eurobeat CD, with songs from Pooh's Grand Adventure and The Tigger Movie. That's a lot of trust they had in the bear back then.

I guess when you consider the whole "30 songs in a set" stipulation, some favoritism is almost mandatory. But for one, Frozen's music covers two movies as opposed to just one of Moana's, and two, it's Mickey Mouse. The universe where Disney's mascot comes from certainly justifies having one-sixth of the soundtrack. It helps that there's more love for Goofy in this set compared to all the Mickey and Donald tracks beforehand. But even I draw the line at three Mickey Mouse March remixes.

As for the Pixar music selection, I can understand cutting Inside Out and Knick Knack from the pile for the reasons you stipulated. I haven't seen Inside Out 2 either, but I assume it doesn't have lyrical music there either.

The juxtaposition would be played into much greater. big-budget 60 character roster, with teams segregated into 30: Team Reality and Team Toons. All DC heroes are relegated to Team Toons, but anthropomorphic/cartoonish elements from live action movies like puppets (including those from Space Jam) are all considered Reality. (mostly just because I couldn't decide between a Monstar and Goopy as the 5th Looney Tune, I don't actually think it's a fair classification for Jam)

TEAM REALITY
  1. Arya Stark (Game of Thrones)
  2. The Hound
  3. Night King

Not too many nights ago I dreamt a fighting game with a unusual structure:
Every stage had three rooms. Every fight started from the middle room and every time a character was pushed through a wall in the next room the fight continued there. The wall was rapidly patched up by the background charcters and the damage bars resetted.
If a character was pushed through an external wall it was either falling off a cliff or sweepedaway by an incoming vehicle, eputting an end to the match. If no one was pushed through an an external wall in the time limit the victory was given to the character that won most matches (patched walls were more easy to break). Being big and heavy meant you were more resistant but also more effective as a projectile against a wall.
And the characters were all furry characters from Fortnite.
If that was becoming truth here are the characters I'd put:

My Original PBS KIDS KoF Roster
OG Season 1 DLC

The year is 1994, and you just found out that Crystal Pepsi has been discontinued, so you go to the Arcade to take out your frustrations on the latest fighting game... and there you see possibly one of the strangest concepts you've ever seen. On the screen of that colorful & mysterious cabinet, you see... wait, are those characters from Sesame Street? And is that the kindly old man from TV, Mr. Rogers?? And they're... duking it out???

Yes, in this strange alternate timeline, the higher-ups at the Public Broadcasting Station and even the original makers of their shows (yes, Rogers included) got really into the fighting game boom of the '90s. Realizing the potential for these types of games to cultivate an audience and be a major source of funding for their programming, they naturally asked: "But what if we did that too?"

Knowing how popular their children's characters were, they devised a bold plan, beating SNK to the punch: A crossover game between these various properties where characters would be grouped into teams of three, a unique take that played into morals of teamwork rather than singular domination. This was an interesting roster to decide on because children's programing on PBS was VERY different from what would even be seen just a few years past 1994... there's a much greater emphasis on "live action" series, as full-on cartoons were not as common back then. (Arthur didn't even exist yet. Yeah.)

This matches the real KoF '94 roster of 8 teams:

Team Rogers (AKA Live Action Mister Rogers Team)
Mister Rogers
Mister McFeely
Officer Clemmons

Team Make-Believe (AKA Puppet Mister Rogers Team)
King Friday XIII
Daniel Striped Tiger
X the Owl

Team Sesame Street (AKA Classic Sesame Street Team)
Big Bird
Cookie Monster
Grover

Team New Generation (AKA Elmo Team or Recent Sesame Street Team)
Elmo
Zoe
Rosita

Team Barney
Barney
Baby Bop
BJ

Team Lamb Chop (AKA Lamb Chop's Play-Along Team)
Lamb Chop
Charlie Horse
Hush Puppy

Team Knowledge (AKA Variety Team)
LeVar Burton (Reading Rainbow)
Bill Nye (The Science Guy)
Miss Frizzle (The Magic School Bus)

Team Brooklyn (AKA Ghostwriter Team)
Jamal Jenkins
Lenni Frazier
Alex Fernández

My own Pizza Tower mod stagelist - player character: Pillar John
Your goal is to collect cement in place of Toppins to rebuild the tower, with Peppino working construction... while going perhaps a bit loco after the last game.
  1. Tutorial

  3. Mason Mines (Modern caveman/Flintstones theme)
  4. Riviera de Lasagna (Italian riviera)
  5. OOK OOOK AAAAAH OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (Jungle/DKC inspired)
  6. Boss: Captain Pizza Goblin
  7. Alien vs. Carnivore (Xenomorph parody) (World 2: Haunted)
  8. The Liver Reeks (Amazon warehouse)
  9. Dust Bunny Bungalow (Scrapped Mansion)
  10. The Confounding Case of the Pigs Who Squeal in the Daytime, But During Winter so It Ended Up Looking Like Night for Atmospheric Purposes (Detective in London, snowy)
  11. Boss: Slicel (Sweeney Todd-esque pizza cutter)
  12. Floury Cal Zone (80s/90s video game + Snick themed) (World 3: Toybox)

I set out with the goal of making a huge 50 character roster based on a bunch of characters or people Sega had the license to at one point in their history and made or published a game with them in it. What if Smash had the Fraymakers summon system?
Instead of Assist Trophies and Poke Balls, not existing alongside them. Will work off of Ult. Was intended to include as many summons as Poke Balls and ATs combined, but I couldn't hit the number. All are made to be at least somewhat skill-based. RNG is not avoided, but is not handled in a "kill or don't kill" way.
  1. Abra (Pokemon) - Same functionality, but simply lures foes away from summoner instead of off-stage
  2. Akira (Virtua Fighter) - Slams a foe into the ground, sending them backwards
  3. Alolan Exeggutor (Pokemon) - Same functionality, but restricted to the edge of the stage from wherever the summoner is facing instead of moving.
  4. Arceus (Pokemon) - Same functionality on ground, if a foe is in the air, it will meteor smash them, give them a small window to mash while levitating close to the blast zone, then finish. Only done once.
  5. Arcade Bunny (Nintendo Badge Arcade) - Grabs a foe, leaving them open to hits
  6. Ashley (WarioWare) - Curses a foe to have random knockback so they are inable to perform combos.
  7. Barrel (Donkey Kong) - Spawns one after the other and rolls forth
  8. Big Goomba (Super Mario) - Does as a Goomba is inclined to do - however, stomping on them or hitting their upper half causes them to split into many Microgoombas, which are less powerful in total than the Big Goomba's attack, but hard to avoid, and can grow wings if left for too long.
  9. Blue Birds (Rhythm Heaven) - Multiple, some flying, are placed on various parts of the stage. Changes the song to Blue Birds, time the summon button to the rhythm when a foe reaches one for a very powerful pecking attack.
  10. Bomberman (Bomberman) - Drops two X bombs at once, one on bottom left and one on bottom right, they explode simultaniously.
  11. Budgie (DSi sound) - Obnoxiously repeats the announcer's voice lines for summoner's foes in an increasingly high pitch and volume.
  12. Burrowing Snagret (Pikmin) - Pecks whenever a grounded foe reaches its eyesight. If foe is in the air, it ignores them.
  13. Callie & Marie (Splatoon) - Perform a concert in front of the screen as a distraction
  14. Can (Hogan's Alley) - Functions the same way as Duck Hunt's can. Can use the summon button to shoot.
  15. Color TV Game Racing 112 (Color TV Game) - A car flies in from the bottom of the screen in the middle, and goes up to the top blast zone.
  16. Compatiability Chart (Game Boy Advance European box blurbs) - Disables foes' specials and a random choice of either tilts + jab, smash attacks or air attacks.
  17. Cranky Kong (Donkey Kong) - Makes a potion that turns the user tiny and fast.
  18. Dillon (Dillon's Rolling Western) - Charges up a roll, if attacked with projectiles, he will home in on the origin. Otherwise, he will roll straight forth once his charge is full.
  19. Dr. Kawashima (Brain Training) - changes his summoner to be a single colour that camoflauges with the background, changing with the location of the stage they're in.
  20. Dr. Wright (SimCity) - Same functionality
  21. Eevee (Pokemon) - Tackles when the summon button is pressed.
  22. Eggplant Wizard (Kid Icarus) - Turns any projectiles or items thrown, including by the user, into eggplants which are non-interactable. Once he despawns, they all fire at once. Eggplants can be reflected by the summoner to change their ownership, but nobody else.
  23. Entei (Pokemon) - Same functionality, but longer startup and can be knocked out during it.
  24. Fighting Polygon (Super Smash Bros.) - Does a Falcon Punch.
  25. Sunflower (Yoshi) - Grows, creating 3 static platforms.
  26. Gardevoir (Pokemon) - Creates a very large reflect shield around the summoner, however the shield does not reflect, the character does, and projectiles fired from outside the shield can still hit
  27. Past/Future Sign (Sonic the Hedgehog) - If you are knocked into it quickly, you will go upwards with a fixed trajectory, preventing a death
  28. Blue or Red Space (Mario Party) - Randomly chooses blue or red. Blue is like the healing field, while red damages.
  29. Gearmo (Drill Dozer) - Allows you to cancel a Smash Attack and certain specials into itself 2 times with the summon button and shift system.
  30. Giygas (EarthBound) - Consumes the background, changes the music to its ambience, and deals heavy lip stick damage - simply shielding can make it go away. (mostly designed as a "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LEARN TO SHIELD" button rather than having practical usage)
  31. Guile (Street Fighter) - Throws a Sonic Boom that draws foes near Helga slingshot-style
  32. Helirin (Kuru Kuru Kuru Kururin) - Very long static soft platform, does not rotate
  33. Hold Box (Tetris) - Gives you a 3-slot Villager pocket. Fill it out, then release the projectiles in the order added
  34. Isaac (Golden Sun) - Brawl functionality, done once
  35. Jeff (EarthBound) - Same functionality, but any attack can reflect the rockets
  36. Magikarp (Pokemon) - Splash attack that deals 1.50 damage and no knockback, but it never disappears and can be summoned 3 times by one player alone. (i tried to keep as many existing characters as possible, but come on)
  37. Kamek (Yoshi) - Makes the user giant and powerful
  38. Knuckles (Sonic the Hedgehog) - Digs into the ground, finds a target, and uppercuts them... if they don't move in time
  39. Mappy (Mappy) - 8-bit sprite. Creates a house ceiling
  40. Master Belch (EarthBound) - Melts into a sticky floor from WOL on whatever platform he's placed on. Does not apply to summoner
  41. Master Hand (Super Smash Bros.) - Low but permanent power and speed boost with a click
  42. Meloetta (Pokemon) - Shoots a musical note that bounces across the stage
  43. Metagross (Pokemon) - Buries once, then despawned. If one mashes out when it is still spawned, it'll do it again. Despawns as soon as its summoner uses any attack
  44. Metroid (Metroid) - Same functionality, can be killed with any attack or by shaking off.
  45. Mog (Final Fantasy) - Disables all attacks in a foe except specials
  46. Moon (Zelda) - Same functionality, but deals no chip damage.
  47. Mr. Resetti (Animal Crossing) - Insults the foe. Covers a small bit of the screen and deals mild emotional damage.
  48. Nintendog (Nintendogs) - Delivers a present box to the summoner with a weak status or healing item inside.
  49. Pikmin (Pikmin) - Canonically sized. Extends your grab range by quite a bit, but can only grab grounded foes.
  50. Professor Hector (ROB) - 8-bit sprite. Walls off all blast zones for a second.
  51. Rabbids (Rabbids) - Essentially a random button. Will appear in a variety of outfits based on a curated list of the other assists (based both on comedic value and functionality in an RNG context) and do their attack
  52. Rambi (Donkey Kong) - Charges forth, and disappears once he has hit. Summons below a foe if they're in the air so they can ride
  53. Ribbon (Kirby) - Shoots from the sacred gun when summon button is pressed, deals stun but she's locked to quite high.
  54. Shadow (Sonic) - Same functionality. Extremely brief
  55. Shop Robot (Tomodachi Life) - Summons a large food item next to the fighter, which heals as much as a Heart Container, not automatically consumed so it can be used as gr8 b8 m8.
  56. Short Order/Eggsplode! (Short Order/Eggsplode!) - Choose each time you summon, a burger for defense or a bomb for offense? Uses a HUD by default, but has macros, with all non-attack buttons + grab setting Short Order and all attack buttons setting Eggsplode when combined with summon button
  57. Shovel Knight (Shovel Knight) - Does his shovel drop, will bounce multiple times if DI is bad, final hit will spike if still on-stage.
  58. Slippy Toad (Star Fox) - Replaces shield, air dodge, and grab with a reflector/counter hybrid.
  59. Snivy (Pokemon) - Same functionality, deals damage but no knockback
  60. Snorlax (Pokemon) - Same functionality
  61. Spewpa (Pokemon) - Same functionality
  62. Spring Man (Arms) - Punches forwards very far, however, his arms only become tangile once they've passed half their length
  63. Tails (Sonic the Hedgehog) - Grants an extra stock. Longest charge, can only be used once, and can be hit, ending the stock prematurely, when he rescues you.
  64. Taizo Hori (Dig Dug) - 8-bit sprite, all projectiles you throw will be giant, but not you yourself.
  65. Tetromino (Tetris) - Duplicate of the hold button, but there's 7 slots and they are auto-filled with throwable Tetrominos, each with a unique pattern.
  66. Thwomp (Super Mario) - Same functionality, done once. Can spike off-stage but long startup.
  67. Tingle (Tingle) - Forces a foe to rent an exploding item, but charges them the same amount of damage it'd cause if it explodes, even if it misses or is stolen.
  68. Tracy (Electroplankton) - Replicates your movement pattern from the last 5 seconds while attacking
  69. Vulpix (Pokemon) - Same functionality, done once
  70. Waluigi (Mario) - Throws a Mario Kart item box and summons a weak offensive item
  71. Whispy Woods (Kirby) - Functions as he does on the stages he appears on.
  72. Wrecking Ball (Wii Fit) - Comes in from the back of the screen. Faster than Moon and deals chip damage, but not a multihit and very small without homing.

Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule someday you will do a Konami licenses roster?
Probably, but I actually think I might do Nintendo next. I’d have to dig a bit deeper to find characters (especially non video game ones) but I’m just more familiar with their history than Konami.

It’s also funny that X-Men are probably gonna be on all the rosters in this series of mine

Crossover game, themed around Sonic's inspirations and games inspired by Sonic. Imagined moreso as a fan game than an official release.
  1. Sonic
  2. Tails
  3. Knuckles
  4. Amy
  5. Dr. Eggman
  6. Mario & Yoshi
  7. Kid Goku
  8. Felix the Cat

I imagine Bill Clinton and Michael Jackson are a bit controversial for something like this. Though maybe Santa Claus can show up.

What if Ultimate was the second Smash game after 64?
There is no fan demand or legacy to work off of, movesets and character additions are simple, and the game is positioned as being half a Mario game based on 64's 4-to-8 roster ratio and 3-to-1 US marketing. Roster size is 40, with 10 Mario sports/platformer characters and another 10 "spin-off" Mario characters. There are no character swap alts (important in the case of one specific character). Trying to imagine how I'd do a roster without knowledge of where Smash would go. Each character has home stage.

  1. Mario
  2. Luigi
  3. Peach
  4. Daisy
  5. Bowser
  6. Toad Kart
  7. Goomba
  8. King Bob-Omb
  9. Nabbit
  10. Chill (Blue Virus)
  11. Polterpup
  12. Donkey Kong
  13. Diddy Kong
  14. Rambi
  15. Yoshi
  16. The Stork
  17. Wario
  18. Waluigi (note: Polterpup and Chill are considered spin-off characters wheras Waluigi is mainline. Waluigi is placed here for thematic reasons.)
  19. Ashley & Red
  20. Vivian
  21. Pikachu
  22. Jigglypuff
  23. Mewtwo
  24. Meloetta
  25. Link
  26. Zelda
  27. Ganon
  28. Tingle
  29. Samus
  30. Kirby
  31. King Dedede
  32. Fox
  33. Captain Falcon
  34. Ness
  35. Isabelle
  36. Marina
  37. Scent Hound
  38. Lucina
  39. Little Mac
  40. Jill & Drill Dozer
