Have you ever been to an in person Brawl Tournament?

So I am gonna start doing a lot of Polls to get a better understanding of well you, the users, the community. So simple enough, everyone answer.

That's actually pretty interesting. I've gotten to the point there I assumed some of the mods nowadays don't even play smash mainly because I never hear them talk about it. Even then, there are some who I couldn't even imagine playing smash, like CK and even Azua.

Anyways, I've been to a brawl tournament just for Melee. What does that go under?

Yeah-- Vegas has tournaments on Mondays. Who does that? Salt Lake is 4 hours away, and they do them on weekends. Sadly, my doubles partner moved away, so I no longer have the motivation of driving that far anymore.

Been to 1 here, tied for 5th, and about to go to my second.

Been to two. We've only had four so far where I lived, and two of them were items tournies, and those are never fun.

Of course, the second had a lame turnout (which is weird, seeing as the first one had a 60+ person tournout with no advertisement, while this one we advertised like crazy), but it was still pretty cool.

Been to many melee and brawl around here, and I only won money twice (both in brawl, never got first). I am happy with my mediocrity though, I am at least best in my school.

I went to the Gamestop Brawl launch party tournament, but that was stupid. I plan on going to a real tournament once I am good enough. As for Melee, if they have another tournament, I won't go. I cannot get good enough to beat those pros. I just can't do it.

I've been unable to go to tournaments as a result of where I've lived being too far from where tournaments are held.

I did play in a Melee tournament once. The people there, though, weren't exactly impressive (skill-wise), and the tournament director was an idiot. (Venom was legal, but Poké Floats wasn't.)
I didn't implode, though...got seventh place, but that was after I hadn't played Melee in two years.

I'd love to do either a Melee or Brawl tournament eventually.

There really should be a "Maybe" or "I might go, but not to play competitively" option.

I know I don't have the patience to sit down and learn this game the way Melee was because I'm past that point now. I've been to melee tournaments and it was fun, but I'm not going to go and expect to win at a Brawl tourny.

You'd be surprised lol. If you were good at Melee, Brawl is a breeze.

If you were good at Melee, Brawl is also frustration in the form of a disc.

I love brawl tournaments, you always get to meet new people and see new playstyles, it is an incredibly effective way of improving your game.

1st. The tournament was very unorganized then everyone got kicked out because it was to late. Wasted 10
2nd. The tournament host gave my spot to someone else. Much time of mine WASTED

I guess technically I've been to a melee tournament, but I just went to the Broom Moast Pi tournament, which I don't think counts because almost no one was playing competitively (items were on), and I only went to hang out with people and lost every match and didn't care, so I voted no.
