I like how this time Bungie is really centralizing the story on the Spartans... There was absolutely NO character development in Halo 3, which made the campaign very forgettable IMO.

In the above picture, we have the main 5 characters (the character we play as is the sixth) that make up the Noble 6 squad (all of the descriptions are quoted from GI):

Kat- The Spartan on the far left in blue. The only female Spartan in this elite squad. She is second in command right behind the Noble 6 leader Carter (far right). She is very loyal to Carter and has lost her right arm in some sort of attempt to save him. She now has a robotic right arm to replace it. That's what I call devotion!

Jun- Directly above Kat (very tiny) on the hill holding a sniper. He's the... well... sniping expert of the group. According to the GI article he's thoughtful and taciturn.

Emile- The bada** looking Spartan directly to the right of Kat. He's the silent type and lets his actions do the speaking for him. He has a very intimidating-looking skull visage on his helmet. This guy obviously doesn't play.

Jorge- The huge spartan to the right of Emile. He's the heavy weapons specialist and also the only Spartan II on the squad (everyone else is a Spartan III). Because of this, he is a lot bigger and bulkier. He's fought in countless battles to survive as long as he has.

Carter- The Spartan on the very right. The leader of the Noble 6 squad. He has pulled them out of enough impossible scrapes to earn his loyalty of his teammates.

Is it me, or does Jorge look like, just straight up beefier then master chief? I mean, i know he looks a bit bigger by comparison to the SIII's, and with the weapons, but even then, he looks like, buffer.

Yeah I agree he's huge.

But bigger doesn't always mean better! He's obviously on the slow side.

It's one of two things, and I'm not trying to start a fight...

1) It could just be a bad print of the game. Games are stamped onto the discs via a machine.

2) Assuming we both had good prints of a game, the system may not have been able to read it. My system had no problems, and I'm not aware of others having issues.

Think of it like the Brawl disc. Some systems did (most early ones due to the dual layer), and some didn't. I got lucky.

I'm sorry you had trouble with the game. Truly. But don't hate on someone who liked/enjoyed the game.

That's the newsy news out of a fun-filled "mythbusters" post Bungie put up about Halo: Reach's development. Natal rumors had been fueled by two things. One, studio head Harold Ryan's comments over the summer that he "absolutely" thought Reach could be Natal-enabled. Two, a screenshot showing an off-center crosshair (above, annotation by Bungie), which some took to mean as evidence of motion-controlled shooting.

Well, Bungie says the screen shot was a mistake and even provides the bug report to go along with it. ("Impact: This makes the Internet freak out.") And then the studio says: "Halo: Reach is NOT a Natal title and is being developed expressly with the traditional Xbox 360 controller in mind." So there."

Maybe I'll get ridiculed for saying this, but I liked ODST better than any other Halo game. I think Firefight's the most fun I've had playing any Halo game, and the story was pretty decent, too. I think everyone's Master Chief bias really overlooks the ODST troopers' plight. But what do I know.

I'm hopeful for a firefight in Reach. I mean, Reach is supposed to have the same stuff as Halo 3 (as was said by game informer) and firefight WAS gunna be DLC for H3, but they decided "nah, too awesome."

I like the thought of firefight with Spartans. Lots more they can throw at us.

These are Spartan III's... not quite as strong as a Spartan II. Stronger than an ODST no doubt, but don't expect Master Chief vs. an army like 3.

Still, I welcome any new additions to Firefight. :D

You won't be able to play it online because Microsoft is disabling XBL service to all original xbox games. Even if you put Halo 2 into your 360 and launch it and try to log into XBL, it won't let you because the servers will be shut off...

Well for now, this thread is pretty much dead. Seems as if hardly anyone from SWF plays Halo 3 anymore... at least on a higher level.

Just because someone isn't a lv45 doesn't mean they're horrible or w/e. They may not bother with ranked at all and still be decent at the game :/

I didn't know not playing on a higher level meant that you're horrible or even decent. I literally meant playing on a HIGHER level (level 45-50). I never said anyone who isn't at least a 45 is bad. Don't know where you're getting that from.

And I was saying that because I need some people in the top 40's that are looking to improve and maybe even reach the prestigious level of 50. That's about where I stand, and playing with people who are in the 30's aren't going to get me very far in terms of ranks.

The ranking system in H3... is flawed to say the least. True story. Went into doubles with a friend's cousin. He was a level 32. Me, a low 20 something. We won every game we played (couldn't tell you the number.) I eventually reached level 34. His level? Stayed at 32. Then we lost one. He dropped to a 30. I didn't drop.

He quit after that, lol. But just saying. The ranking system is far from perfect. Hope they improve it in reach.

You can reach a lvl 50 in TD in like 15 games in Halo 3, I think.
