Halo series - Crimson Map Pack out now!

Here's an idea: they should release a "Halo 2 Map Pack" for free for Halo 3. Experience all of the good Halo 2 maps (lockout, sanctuary, warlock) but with better graphics! I would love to play desolation again or midship!

Heh heh, just remove the super bounces and it should work out fine.

The only super bounce on Halo 2 I couldn't do was the one of Warlock.

About the idea of a map pack containing Halo 2 maps for free: Yeah, not going to happen. Bungie themselves like to please their fans, but with Microsoft still pulling the strings with the Halo franchise even after the two companies have split, they'll charge as much as they can for each and every little bit of Halo content released. And as much as I'd love to see one huge "Halo 2 Map Pack" for Halo 3, Bungie's hints are making it sound like Moonlight Sonata (one of the three maps in the upcoming Legendary Map Pack) is going to be a tried and true remake of Lockout, not a lamer spiritual successor (Guardian). I'll be **** happy if the next map pack is Ghost Town, a Sidewinder remake and a Lockout remake.

Alt - Next time you're sitting around bored, play Lone Wolves. I hadn't touched LW since a couple days after the game came out (Got up to Level 25 in it real quick and then stopped) but I went from 25 to 41 today in about 3 hours. I'm gonna keep on playing it tomorrow, try to get to 45.

i'm kind of mad right now, the only reason i've been doing lone wolves is to get the achievments, the only one i need now is overkill. it is impossible to get in the 38-40 skill levels as people aren't stupid any more. i decided to warm up in rumble pit before doing some more lw, first match, swords, gaurdian, overkill, not lw, no camando head/security/katana.

how does 4:00 PST, 8:00 EST saturday sound for getting together for some customes and BTB? planning ahead for this one

Really Cashed? Lone Wolves? Did they change the playlists or something? If they did ffa's with BR start, I'd do Lone Wolves again.

Because if I get out BR'd, I feel like the other guy was better than me. I don't get angry when the reason I lose is because I wasn't good enough. But when I get bum rished by total freaking AR wielding noobs, I get irritated.

Anyway, I'll try to make it online sometime this week. Things are a bit hectic for me right now, but I'll try to squeeze some online time in.

PS: If anyone here hasn't added me yet, feel free to. My tag is just 'AltF4Warrior'. I'm probably the best Skill 36 player in Halo 3, lol! I really need to level up.

BRs was coming up quite a bit for me in Lone Wolves, Alt. I got absolutely reamed on Construct BRs. Got 1 Swords match on Guardian, which was awesome, got an Overkill. :D Default Slayer on Snowbound is terrible, the map should be renamed "Shotgun".

Oh, and Lone Wolves is pretty nice until you start losing VERY badly. (Like when u have 5 and the top has 19)

But teams are the greatest, especially in BTB's.

Oh and one question, is the required skill to obtain the officer ranks based on the highest skill you've ever gotten regardless if you lost it or not), or the skill that you currently have. Lets say I need 30 skill for whatever rank, and my highest ever is in LW (which is 34), but it went down to lets say... 28.

I have mixed feelings about snowbound. I feel like it could play really well if the shield doors weren't there. But even still I think it has more competitive spirit than people give it credit.

Usually the dominant strategy is to ***** the shotgun in the cave. But if you do that, you give up all the other power weapons. It's just like when people camp in the sword room on The Pit. You wind up just giving the rest of the power weapons to your opponents.

It is your current highest skill. Lets say you have a skill level of 45, and 490 EXP, then right before you get to 500 EXP, you drop down to a 44, then you will not be a brigadier yet. Now once you get skill 45 and EXP of 500+ then you will stay a brigadier no matter what (unless you quit out enough and your EXP goes back below 500). Make sense?

me and a friend made a custom snowbound, where at the start of a match we overload the map, wich removes all the shield doors and deactivates the turrets. it is much more fun to play without them.

I remember hearing about that not long after Halo 3 came out. But I thought I remember them saying that the shield doors don't reliably go away or something like that. Snowbound would be so good w/o shield doors.

Got 49 today, pretty happy about it. No idea how many wins it may take to get 50 b/c im brig grade 2, but hopefully I can get my general before brawl comes out. Then i can sell my 360 and Halo 3, and get wii and brawl.

Yeah, rank doesnt necessarily mean you are good, but I mean you cant say that you dont want to be a General when you have enough EXP and what not.
