lol the only marth in tournament while ken is commentating and axe is destroying him I-I...I stopped watching for 10 seconds literally to check SWF and their last match started and finished. Salty rage quit and I missed it. Seriously though, this tourney is running long.

Hugs and Ken commentary is very entertaining. It's like two old men talking except one is out of touch and loves to talk and the other is calm and relatively " in with the times".

yo we're leaving from david's house on friday at noon latest folks. it will take about 8 hours to get to nanuet (need some breaks in between).
let me know if this is okay with you guys, if you have class and stuff we can depart a little later.
Prepare your passports (if they've expired or w/e), travel insurance if you plan to get that...

In terms of when we're getting back to Toronto...RoM seems to end pretty late at night so we'll have to leave monday morning (super early around 6-7 am latest cuz people need to be back on monday for school and work). Estimated time of return back at David's house is ~2:30pm...i'll try to drive faster to make it back earlier...
oh man...that's a rough schedule...
The only other alternative is leaving sunday night (either arrive back in Toronto at like 5:00am) or leave before the tournament finishes.
open for discussion on other alternatives if you guys can think of any.
let me know if this is okay with you guys, if you have class and stuff we can depart a little later.

there seems to be 2 hotels near the area. nanuet inn and hilton garden inn
uhh....from a quick search for 3 nights (friday, saturday and sunday) at hilton garden inn is like 159 a night for a room with 2 double beds....

... i'm trying to find the website for the nanuet inn right now. also going to look to see if there are any cheaper places near by. i'm ok with the price at hilton but you guys probably aren't. (it's like 31.8 USD per night + tax?)
post if you can find any cheaper stuff too.

people were asking in the thread if there was a discount code or something but there was nothing.
alukard hasn't responded to the thread in a while. probably still no power in his area.

hampton inn (close to venue):
has a deal for $79 per night (with a discount on the THIRD night if you stay for 3 nights or more which we are). it totals about 250 USD for the three nights. 2 queen size beds (we'll have to bring a sleeping bag i guess).

how do you guys feel about this deal? i think it's as good as it gets. close to venue, cheaper than what alukard posted (only 79$ per night, 66$ on the third night due to special offer discount).

there's some funky math going on with the sub total it's off by 1 cent. it should be 250.35
maybe americans do some weird tax rounding thing, i dunno.

that's 50.07 USD per person for the whole 3 nights of the hotel
