its not like mikes OP turn one kills but its a strong setup.

Hey hey, the deck I ultimately ended up maining was Stax, it was the opposite of a one turn kill. Look up:
Smokestack
Trinisphere
Sphere of Resistance
Goblin Welder
Tangle Wire

Those should give you a vague idea of how the deck works. My favourite openers have always involved Gush and Fastbond though.

update, I got her to drive 3 hours to the camp to meet there for a visit.

i forgot to mention this, but you guys (ryan/david/james) might already know...

i was playing peach vs. cpu fox's the other day screwing around with turnips and i noticed (not for the first time tho lol) that they shield to powershield, but frequently shine and trade with the turnip (the turnip's trajectory is straight up, and hits fox when he lets down the shine on its way down (indicating hitbox still existing)

i took the opportunity to test out what happened with ryan vs. vwins, with the shine (being audible) vs/trading with an incoming turnip

it turned out that when i threw the turnip at the fox, it shined, and instead of trading, the turnip won, and the fox took full knockback and ~35-36%

why is that? i managed to do this twice but was lacking too much in turnip hax to repeat it anymore. i'm sure you guys probably already looked into it

edit: i guess it's worth noting that i smash threw it both times, and didn't consider soft throwing

and so only frame 1 is invincible? so if you knew this why was it such a shocker that the stitch hit through?

also, on non stitch turnips, the turnips traded equally... so... is it a stitch priority thing?
