there's also a few other variations of this method too, i don't know if they're version yellow specific or not, but there are others exactly like this with other slight changes, or they use lavender town

the designers put that trick in the game, then they leaked the info to some of the players (years later)

i think the mew thing is a glitch that involves setting the RNG a certain way...like that guy with the slowpoke, the slowpoke just happens to have whatever stats the same as mew's, and that's why it has to be him. i think that was it. the fact that mew was even programmed in makes sense since they were giving him away at IRL events so the data had to be in there.

Using a slightly different procedure you can actually get any pokemon, with the exception of Rhydon, NidoranM, Clefairy, and Kangaskhan.

The Mew glitch is great for speedruns. There's an extra part to the glitch where you can set its level to 1 which causes it to level to 100 instantly. Combine that with the walk through walls glitch and it becomes fairly trivial to speedrun Red/Blue.

yeah, you know what I did with that a long time ago? I caught 1, then traded it to gold version and duplicated it like 15 times, for different movesets, and HM slaves. lol.
Actually, I'm staring at the gold version cartridge right now.

I don't really feel comfortable asking about jobs for *multiple* friends on my first day of work.
At the same time, when all of you guys ask me to hook you up, I'd feel really bad if I just said no. I know we're all looking for work.
I just don't want to be out of place at this new job by asking for favours before they even know me. How should I go about doing it? Does anyone have any suggestions? haha don't hate me people

yeah, definitely don't ask yet. probably wait more than a week, too. until you don't feel like the "new guy" anymore.
and...i'm not really sure. but i know people younger than me who have done that at their job and it worked. i guess just kind of casually mention it to one of the managers or such people.
