Now I have to learn loads more champ stuff and new masteries tree etc.

I honestly don't know, but I have never really had trouble with a Ryze mid.
Le Blanc on the other hand, I have never beaten mid.
The last day I played I mastered screwing Xerath over whenever he used his Q, it's like a free pillar every time.

Really? I JUST played a game where my friend laned against brand as Cass, and it went the other way around. Granted, he may have not used his Ulti right. I was solo'ing top

I feel like Brand has...stronger trading if he manages to land Conflag >pillar for increased pillar damage. But if he doesn't then you win. However, I need more practice

I was signed into my account on my friends laptop and forgot that you don't have any masteries set when you sign in on a new computer.
I was mid against another Brand and without masteries still managed to be doing more damage to him than he could do to me.
Maybe it was just the way my runes were set.
I was pretty shocked to say the least.
The new mastery tree is much harder to decide on than before.
