Honestly, you guys are lucky you’re so likable. Usually I’d take a new franchise over another rep from an already represented franchise any day, especially Mario, but I guess Geno IS a very special case.

Yeah he had Spike's crane in MKDS. I like to think that he stole it. Waluigi's theme song in DDRMM is also a remix of the WC bonus stage music.

They're not quite 1-1 the same character though.

I'm half convinced that the Eggplant Man is just Waluigi in an eggplant suit, which is hilarious.

PolarPanda If I remember correctly, you were recently pretty sure we would be getting Erdrick; partially based on Xenother coming to that same conclusion as well as Zenyth hearing that Vergeben also came to that conclusion.

I'd honestly say that's debatable. Geno does have more requests for Smash than Sora, but yeah, maybe Sora has a larger presence among the casual audience.

Again though, Geno these days is popular with the casual audience too, especially with his strong social media presence.

I'd say Geno is more popular in the Smash community than Sora, and Sora is more popular with the casual audience than Geno. Still, both are close competitors in both ways

I think we really don't know who is at the top of the popularity poll overall or Smash Ballot because Sakurai said the Belmonts were chosen because of the Ballot because Castlevania scored high in the Ballot. We didn't felt the presence for the demand for Castlevania in Smash at all anywhere online, so the same thing could happen with another iconic character that could be in the Season Pass that we all think isn't that popular but actually scored high in the Ballot like Castlevania.

Well, in Smash 4, Sakurai said King K Rool and Geno were added as Mii costumes due to popular demand, so we pretty much do know that those two did well in the ballot

I think if we see other not confirmed Mii costume characters in the Season Pass besides Geno like Lloyd or Monster Hunter, than I would say Tails is a lock for the Season Pass.
