That implies that those are the only anime swordsman that have a chance of getting into Smash. There's plenty of "smaller" anime swordsman characters like Ryu Hayabusa, Laharl, Adol Christin, Rean Schwarzer, and Sol Badguy, who while not super well known/requested; probably all qualify for Smash due to the iconicity of their series. That's not counting any dupes from the series we already have as 3rd parties in Smash, there are characters like Sephiroth (and a large chunk of FF characters), Yu from P4. And then there's also Sora. I guess Monster Hunter can also count too?
True. There's always a chance for everyone to make it in, I just thought those 4 were the most noteworthy
True, I treat them more like Terry's in that they're definitely not all that demanded; and their series are pretty "small"/"niche" comparatively to some larger missing series. Really out of all those, only Ryu Hayabusa is decently discussed (although Sol is definitely picking up on popularity). But, if Terry could get in due to the historical relevance of SNK; then there's a case to be made for all of these characters.

Not really. The reason behind it is because after this Smash game, things will likely shift from "which character would you like" to "which character do you want to return"; so the chances of another character really getting to the demand of Geno is unlikely, there's already a ton of people against "irrelevant" characters like Geno, and next time it'll shift from "we could get Cloud as DLC instead of __________". Even if Geno gets in this round, I doubt he'll be here for the next Smash game whenever it comes out, and there is no other character within the same niche of Geno's currently. This is definitely Geno's last shot of being playable in Smash, I doubt the fanbase will last if he doesn't get in this Fighters Pass.
This is exactly why things are pretty rough on Geno's fans right now, and that's what people often don't get. It's why we look at other characters with a certain future and modern-day relevance and think, "Can't we just have one little thing for once? Just one?" If Geno doesn't get in this time (which, to be perfectly honest, is a very real possibility), he won't. He straight-out won't. It feels so all-or-nothing. Even though he'll always have people who love him and want to see more of him, I truly feel this is his last chance to be given anything. Getting into something Mario-related is only so possible when he is a third-party character owned by a very prestigious company. At least with Smash, SE is already on-board.
Yeah for sure. Even if he doesn't progress into Smash 6, which I doubt he (and most other third parties) would anyway, getting him here is still a huge win. It's now or never, all-or-nothing. If he can't get in now, he'll forever fade back into obscurity, and this is by far his best chance.

used to do to try and bring some joy into here. I know it has been hard lately for you guys as it feels like Geno's time is imminent but the drought we've been in has just been never-ending (but yes, you and I all realize these are 1st world problems, obviously).

again (who I miss and who I used to call "Ms. Positive Vibes"), I realized I should tell you all something I have kept hidden for a while... ...I used to absolutely loathe the idea of Geno getting into Smash.

Yeah I don't know too many games where you get to play as a wooden doll that gets possessed by a higher being who can shoot bullets (real bullets, not that ***** ass foam stuff) from his hands. Oh and he's got magic too, one of his spells (his signature one in fact) basically being "Destructo Disc" from DBZ. (definitely more interesting than the normal stuff you see in most AAA games nowadays)

We usually get them in the first week or the last one of months. My guess is the 23 or 26th. I am also pretty confident on that other dlc announcement. This has been the longest drought of smash dlc. Because of the state of the world, obviously. I doubt that the second fighter will be ready for september. Probably october.
Yeah it feels like the ballot was made for ultimate. Tbf I feel like they had an idea that the wii u was failing and wanted to put the effort into the switch.
I personally dont want waluigi and the only way i can see him getting in is if we end up getting some kind of bonus thing which i doubt
I could see a bonus or two after the Pass since there is 4 more WOL slots left open after the FP2 characters get included.
I still think he's a possibility. If bonuses are a thing then i think his chances will go even higher.
